My only reservation is how many of the east stand season ticket holders would have paid £30 to go to an old firm game when many don’t go when they have already paid. I for one hate these games and would not have paid £30 (£20) to go and I have been a loyal supporter through thick and thin for nearly 70 year. As you said handled very badly.

Time for the club to acknowledge their mistake either individually or collectively.
Saints will have potentially lost £60/90k gate receipts they would have been hoping for with the loss of 2 to 3000 saints fans not going, so is not only a PR disaster but a financial sore one.
An offer to put up some temporary protection ( timber frame and plywood - GS Brown have joiners) to protect the mural, would be a gesture.
Not going myself due to the 3 stands issue, £30 price plus the football we are having to endure.
After the game need to draw a line under this and move on, as what we are watching is brutal and we need to turn this around!

On the back of a really bad run of form a win in any way would release some of the pressure building up on the team and the manager.
We welcome Livingston to McD on Saturday and they are on their usual highly impressive run and looking a banker to be top six again. Livi employ a high workrate closing down game and absorb pressure all day long patiently waiting on the opportunity to spring an attack and they take their chances well when they arrive. This is one game where you don't want o go behind early or it will be a long afternoon.
I'll be in the minority I guess but I like Martindale - he always gets the best out of his journeymen players and I find his assement after the game always refreshing as he tells like it is.
Might there be changes to our starting eleven? Who knows but a good home performance is well over due.

Celtic willing to allow Montgomery stay til end of season if Saints agree.
If we do then assume there is no place for Gallagher. Montgomery is fine but not keen on developing other teams players to the detriment of our own.

I take it you haven’t seen Mahon this season. It’s all right slagging players off  that’s everyone’s right but it’s not much use replacing them with someone worse.
