Why don't they get a big sign on the corner plot by the roundabout that gives details of the next game and at the same time details of any offers on tickets or just ticket prices. That is a busy roundabout and will be seen by thousands every week

I agree with you. I guess it shows the very fine margins between success and failure. The trouble here of course is that when we fall just the wrong side of that fine margin folk on here think we are utter cr#p and conversely think we are world beaters when we do win.
I'd start to worry if we did not create any chances in games. As BB has said there's been the one game this season when we have not created many chances so at the moment I'm not concerned.

IMO Scottish fans get far too hung up on formations.....they depend on the personnel available. If a 5 man midfield was over-run yesterday (I was not at the game yesterday, but bear with me on this) why do people assume a 4 would do better? Lomas is a relatively inexperienced manager who is rebuilding a side after their best showing in over a decade, who have lost some key players, and had three of his new signings missing yesterday. A 451 should become a 433 if and when your midfield wins the right to play their game, that clearly did not happen. Saints had the wind knocked out of them after the split last season, but after the split you play the best in the league. Craig Levein only won 2 post split games in 3 seasons at Tannadice, hard to take, but not unexplainable!

Any manager must be free to experiment with their line up to assess the best tactics/formation to win matches. 451 is used by Alex Ferguson, Jose M, Gus Hid and the rest, if they deem it the best formation for the next match, why not let Lomas experiment? Especially if he will face 5, it is surely sensible to match up? My worry for Saints is that there is a ground swell of fan power that puts Lomas out before he has had a chance to shape his own team. I lived in England when Alex Ferguson was getting it tight from the press and sections of the Man U fans, 'no clue', 'tactically naive', 'poor media performances', 'an embarassment to the club' etc. The rest is history as they say. I can also recall they same protestations when Luggy spent a season or 2 rebuilding St Johnstone,- the job he was paid to do.

I cannot comment on the gossip surrounding Lomas, but to expect any manager to get his team into shape in such a short space of time is expecting too much. Granted if you are looking certain for the drop, the board will act, but Lomas has at least demonstrated the connections to bring in some exciting signing, why back him with the cash and not give him a reasonable spell to; try different things, make mistakes, get to know who he can rely on etc.
