I would love it if the Tartan Army went en masse to the World Cup. Women's football is beginning to hit critical mass - it's already there in the US, where it's arguably bigger than the male game - and if Scottish fitba fans could embrace the women's game totally at the World Cup that would be fantastic.

I am in the process of organising a suitable date with Joss to present the Ball and the embroidered captains armband John. We had a provisional date but Joss  was unable to attend as something came up. In conjunction with new communications guru at Saints, Gary Henderson, we are going to get some photos and the club will run an article on it. Once I know a solid date I will  let you guys know..

I could have done. I'm off the next two weeks, and the choices I got were Hamilton away and the international weekend. THank God I got to QoS last week.....

I think Brechin will be great for him. Always liked them, and I've come to think of them as one of our feeder clubs. Darren Dodds is a Saints legend, not always for the best reasons. I think Calum's going to be a club hero in 18 months to 2 years time. Best of luck to him. Playing and scoring for Brechin will do him the world of good.

You're right. Two draws, two defeats.
But it's still not what Stoke would have expected when they dropped down a league. The fans are getting restless. They were booing from early on against Wigan. I don't like it, and I hope the management get time to create their own vision, but we all know the way modern football works. I hope it works out well for Callum, but I can't help but being fearful for him

First game of the season for me. Lots of positives. A decent performance and, in the end, a good win.
Tony Watt in the flesh is a big fecker. You wouldn't pick a fight with him. He's got a lot of presence. He's definitely one of those players you're glad is in your team, because he will do things which turn matches. And, boy, he covers some ground.
I thought the referee was an equal opportunities fud - crap decisions both ways - but really Queens could have brought on a tractor and ploughed Matty Kennedy into the ground and he still wouldn't have given a foul.
It may sound odd, given we scored four goals, but I'm not sure we'll score that many this season. We play nice football but, Watt apart, the killer instinct needs to be sharpened.
Liked the look of Matty Kennedy. Gives his all, some neat touches, involved all the way through.
Well worth the twelve hour round trip.
