Real privilege to watch a team that works so well as a unit and plays with so much effort and passion.

There's many players in that team who by most accounts have been shite elsewhere, but have come good for us because of the way we play as a team.

There's a real grit and belief in the squad that you could trace back to Coyle and through McInnes, Lomas, and now Wright.

A special era that we're lucky to see.

    That's enough soppy shit.

Tommy has just calmly got on with the job after Steve left, no settling in period, nothing, ideal replacement. He's calm, he talks us up in interviews, he was disappointed at our Minsk performance, seems to me that he's letting the boys express themselves more than Steve ever did. The past 2 POTY awards Steve Brown and Steve Lomas had digs at each other publicly about the budget, I think tommy has accepted it and is happy to get on with it, great appointment - give the bloke a 10 year deal now to stave off any potential approaches !!!!! Well done Tommy !!!!!

People saying he'll be off asap if he keeps this up. He doesn't strike me as being driven by the same things the likes of Coyle, McInnes and Lomas were driven by. He turned down the chance to go to Millwall because he likes working for this club and his wife likes living in the area. I appreciate going as your own man holds more appeal than as assistant but I think Wright is the kinda guy that would have set himself some goals in this job and would like to see them through.

Departing London around 8am Thursday morning and staying in Perth for 3 nights, we wont win this Europa League, but we can have some brilliant days out on the back of it, I,m definitely not drinking as much as I did after the Rosenborg game, and I was definitely the oldest person in the Loft !!!! I,m avoiding that place this time

Take a picture of it in the bank and send it to THE RANGERS, and say this is what it's like to have money in the bank.

Saints every time. International football is a boring inconvenience and a waste of time. I'd scrap it. I truly don't care that no Saints players are in the Scotland squad and would be pleased if none were called up. Imagine they got a career threatening injury playing for Scotland, I'd be raging.

Odds-on, in my view, that we will have a weak start to the league given all this European stuff. It's pretty common - Sellick last year, for example. Given Hearts 15-point penalty, but the fact that most of the papers still think they will finish above Thistle, it's not going too far (or is it) to say we are immune from relegation. So why not pile everything into the European dream and the League Cup early on, at the expense of the league? I think we would still be in with a chance of best of the rest in the league, with lots of Euros in the bank and mebbee, just mebbee,a cup.....

Surely we wont play a weakened team.

At the end of the day the league should still be the priority? Surely most of the squad is fit enough to play most of the games over the next 3 weeks with a bit of rotation for the older players?

FC Mince will be tough opponents. Belarus is the sort of place they'll have the military brass band rehearsing outside the team hotel at 3am the night before the game. Their pies will be crap too; lips and arseholes en croute.

surely he can get a discount on some new floodlights then get the tools out and do them himself, I seen him up a ladder in one of the suites a couple of seasons back putting something right

Don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere, but now the dust has settled (for the moment) on the Rosenborg tie, it kinda makes you think about where we have come from in the last 30-odd years.

With that in mind, we have 3 stands with rather drab names - is it not about time that either the West or East Stands are named in honour of a man for without whom there probably wouldn't be a St Johnstone - Geoff Brown.

We've all had our frustrations in the past that he insisted on running a tight ship - but he's been proved correct.

If Manchester United can do it for Sir Alex, why can't Saints do the same???

    Thoughts everyone......

Press reporting that both Saints and Motherwell stand to lose a lot of money in this round because of the cost of getting to the respective countries. Motherwell's flight alone is costing £180,000 while Saints are having to fork out a small fortune to fast track visas for the entire team, coaching staff and club officials and to keep the airport open for the flight back as it only operates from 10am - 2pm!

More important than ever that we get folk along to the return leg to try and help the club offset these costs.

Well he has joined a bigger and better club, so us saints fans should be polishing his boots and reminding him how unworthy we and St Johnstone f.c are to him. Stop moaning and bow down to his fantastic talent. Unfortunately we have been left with Stevie May

It's absolutely unbelievable that the council have done nothing about this.  The biggest match in Perth for 40-odd  years, height of summer, weather forecast looking good and our Council sit on their backsides and do nothing.

He certainly did his homework to an exemplary standard. His international experience may prove invaluable. His body language in interviews and quotes in the press was very positive prior to KO, compared to say Fenlon who was making comments about "staying in the tie", that vocabulary is destination exit.

    Well done Tommy.

I know some boys who are not very good at their jobs, in fact they are still apprentices. They have a big drum, might be able to get you loan of it.
