Jamie_Beatson
I was surprised he wasn't in the U-21s ahead of Arfield, who, as I said, is not as good as I remember him being last time I saw him!
McSaint
Would have Muzz in my team before Alexander every day.
garydavidson
weird if a report made by the first team coach was passed to burley if he was only in contention for an under 21 slot!
SlickDT
Deserves to be in the U-21 squad.
CynicalSaintee
He falls inbetween two stools, really. Too old to be worthwhile in the U21s but too young and inexperienced to feature in the full squad. A "B" Scotland cap wouldn't surprise me, though. YHallSaint
Might get called into the full team for the game against wales, who knows it is George "likes a drink" Burley
CynicalSaintee
You saying he's shite? Far from it, he's a very tidy player. to old to be worthwhile? What's the point in giving a cap at U21 level when he's only liable ot get one or two? It's far better to give younger lads a shot at it to get more experience at that level. If Murray was only 20 it'd be different.
saintj
well, perhaps he is better than the current layers in the under 21's, and if he can improve the side and be the difference and help get the under 21's to a european/world competition then he should be in it. what difference does it make if he'll only get a couple of caps? if he makes the difference then he is obviously worth it

john1962
Martin Hardie, Liam Craig, Gavin Swankie, Kevin Moon Craig Conway, Ross Forbes, Kevin McDonald, Michael Stewart, Scott Robertson, James McArthur, David Wotherspoon for starters None of the Saints players have been close. Forbes decent start to the season but doing nothing now. Kevin McDonald may be for Burnley haven't seen enough of him and dont think he is playing everyweek. Wotherspoon not week in week out. The rest absolute nonsense.
john1962
Well if he has been snubbed I am going to take the OF view of being happy because he cant injured in a meaningless, stupidly arranged friendly.

Dev
He does not have everything. He has no first touch for starters. Took the words off me. I like Murray and I think he has a great future but he needs to sort out his touch, his second touch is inevitably a tackle.

O'Rourke
Davidson is a raw talent with enormous potential and could be a future internationalist. I fear that he could burn out or pick up a serious injury due to his power play and undoubted commitment. He doesn't know how to hold back in a challenge which is probably why he generally comes out of them uninjured. I can't believe how often he leaves an opponent on the deck after a 50:50. Del needs to ensure he gets a rest now and again to maintain his edge.
101 Saint
Meanwhile, speculation was mounting last night that Saints’ midfielder Murray Davidson is in line for a shock full international call-up when the Scotland squad is announced this morning for the friendly with Wales . Jamie_Beatson
The squad is: Craig Gordon (Sunderland), Jamie Langfield (Aberdeen), David Marshall (Cardiff); Christophe Berra (Wolves), Gary Caldwell (Celtic), Steven Caldwell (Burnley), Danny Fox (Celtic), Alan Hutton (Tottenham), Stephen McManus (Celtic), Lee Wallace (Hearts), Steven Whittaker (Rangers); Don Cowie (Watford), Graham Dorrans (West Brom), Darren Fletcher (Manchester United), Ross McCormack, James McFadden (Birmingham), Barry Robson (Celtic), Kevin Thomson (Rangers); Steven Fletcher (Burnley), Kevin Kyle (Kilmarnock), Kenny Miller (Rangers), Steven Naismith (Rangers), Derek Riordan (Hibernian). Inevitably, half of that squad will change though when all the Rangers and Celtic players call off.
