Maybe if someone had a word with him the first time he got in bother in any way then maybe he wouldn't be facing this. Too many people telling him that he's a star when really, he's a silly wee laddie.

The past has seen all this before, from stirling, plays for united and linked with rangers. Drunken duncan springs to mind.

If he did do this and the evidence is there to convict him then will he be a cocky wee sh*t in the jail ?? Somehow i think he will be put in his place when he's crying himself to sleep every night whilst being cuddled by his cellmate.

When he gets out he will have a rear end like a vintage golf bag. Thanks frankie boyle for that one

Indeed but will a club take the risk of buying him before the trial?

I doubt it, unless it was a £100,000 or so up front with the rest depending on appearances. Then if he is found guilty they can terminate his contract and not have to pay the remaining balance.

The other side of the coin is that Utd need the money and his sale could have given Houston a bit of breathing room on the wage cuts that Thompson has already said that they will have to make in the summer.

United will lose money out of this. Guilty or not he will get abse for this every ground he goes too. Every nightclub he goes too.

He won;t get a club as he will do time and then spend the rest of his life on the sex-offfenders list, that means he cannot be in the vicinity of young girls and thus rules hiom out of playing in front of a crowd......

Dundee United are beginning to mirror their neighbours across the road.

They are in serious debt, and would be in big trouble if the Thompson family decided to withdraw their money. It is becoming evident that not only is Steven Thompson a loose cannon, he also dosent want to be involved with the DAB'S anymore. There was strong rumours kicking about a few weeks ago that Thompson had gained an injunction against the News of the World, about a story that would have destroyed him. Will be interesting to see what happens with that.

On top of that Peter Houston seems to have lost the dressing room, and this has resulted in the lack of discipline shown by numerous players outside of the club. One of their directors resigned yesterday apparently disillusioned with the direction the club is heading in.

Not a good time to be a DAB.

Thompson never wanted the club during his fathers reign and it was forced upon him after he died.

Last year they punched way above their level by winning with a terrific 2nd half of the season, covered the cracks and young Thomson gotsome great publicity.

Now reality is kicking in and he now remembers he doesn't even like football.

The writing has been on the wall for ages.

Watch their decline coming to the surface.

GB has been telling us this about United for ages.
