When Spoony played for Abernethy Cubs (actually not that long ago!!!) we called him Wee Dee cos he was tiny. He tore around the pitch at 90 miles an hour, and in every single game he was the best defender, best midfield and best striker. He would have been the best goalie if the ref had let him. The coach used to take him off to give the opposition a break, and to allow some of the other kids (including my two, who sadly were not footballingly blessed) a kick of the ball. He was totally focused on footy, even at the age of 6 or 7. Everyone said he would walk into pro football, and to be honest, the only surprise is he's not yet playing in the EPL and for Scotland. I think he will yet.

Thanks mate. You know how it is - real life takes over for a bit sometimes. Wasn't all that well. Much better now, and me and the Beloved made it in last night, which was just beyond braw. The site seems much more mellow now; really enjoyed catching up.
