Saline Saint reacted to south inch in Saints January '22 Transfer Activity
I must say I admire the optimism surrounding this signing shown by some on here., can't understand it but must admire it. This is a guy who arrived at Celtic carrying a 6 game suspension and proceeded to make little or no impact despite the service and resources on offer. H e was loaned to anyone who would take him until his 4 year contract was up and now here he is 6 years later having been shown the door by his latest club. He has played little football in the past 6 months so he cannot be match fit.
Oh well I hope he proves me wrong. More hopeful about Ali Crawford though.

I think you'll find that now that the dust has settled and the detail of the deal is known fans are starting to see the bigger picture and a lot of that anger has dissipated.
Fans are always unhappy when one of their favourites leave that will always be the case.
I totally disagree with all your points.
St.Johnstone are a business that is the envy of every club in Scotland.

After sleeping on it, I'm less angry and just proud of what we've seen. We went toe to toe with two big big European teams, and with a bit of luck or ref decision here or there the outcomes could have been different.
Considering some of the St Johnstobe matches I've been to in my lifetime, the last few months has been the stuff of utter fantasy.
I hope the players put an arm around spoony and it doesn't affect him too badly. An adrenaline fueled mistake, move on.

Watched it all again this morning, how good is it when Spoony cuts back inside to put the cross in for the goal, think it’s Gogic who buys the dummy as he does a flying jump,he almost has to buy a ticket to get back into the ground, priceless.

Top 6 in 8 of the last 10 seasons & two trophies . How the feck can our diddy team paying probably lower wage than most teams in premiership do that.

Anyone else have a weird feeling of not knowing what to do last night?
Still, can't wait for the open-top bus tour in the summer. It's going to be a belter. I hope the club is ready with plenty of season ticket forms to hand out.
Seriously, I think it's hard to put into words how special this era is. Always gives me goosebumps to think of all the thousands of Saints fans, staff, officials and players going right back to 1885 who experienced little or no success, the fans who'd have lived and died hoping to see their team lift a trophy but never did. And then our generation comes along and gets two trophies and multiple trips to Europe.
And it's not just the success, but the way we've done it. Barely spent a penny on transfers, no sugar-daddy owner, no crowing about a "fairytale". Every single bit of success has come about through sheer hard work and good decision-making, and that goes all the way back through multiple managers who have all contributed in pushing us on and building upon their predecessor's work. It really should be a far bigger story than it is, but I think the fact that we fly forever under the radar is in itself a part of that success. We're still underestimated, and always will be.

Saline Saint reacted to McCarry One Nil in Kristen Robertson
Still waiting on yer evidence rather than your keyboard attacks on a member of the staff at SJFC. That's what I'm no liking.
As mentioned before is it in the same evidence bag as The Rangers SPFL evidence?
Yer going on and on and on , on various threads.
What has Kirsten done? That's all we want you to tell us. And then we can make our minds up. But for you to constantly keep this going with...…..(it appears) nothing...….. I just don't get it.
Tommy left because of KR.....come on ???????????? I know nothing and maybe he didn't see eye to eye with her but still...….leave his job....that's no the Tommy we know is it?
What he said in his interview is good enough for me.
And he's gone but never forgotten.
We stick together as one. SJFC

Saline Saint reacted to McCarry One Nil in Taxi for Tommy?
RBB - you're sounding like the WAP equivalent of The Rangers FC - where's your evidence???
Embarrassing witch hunt by a few people on here.
Tommy's gone because he wanted to. That's all I read into it, in fact it's all I need to read into it.
St.Johnstone FC move on, we stick together.
Starting smear campaigns against employee's at the club is just ridiculous.

Saline Saint reacted to Havana Saint in The big COVID-19 Shutdown
Totally get where you are coming from..
Starting in August....let's hope and pray.
We miss Saints.
This set in a context when we are not working, where our children are not at school, when rich football clubs demand tax payers help them. Profit and shareholders fly above us like eagles as our citizens die. Priorities in Western capitalist nations are built on sand.
To achieve a return to football in August requires pragmatic solutions. This set amongst the current situation we fnd ourselves in amidst this appalling virus.
Football is just secondary at the moment, but challenging questions require to be addressed in amongst an economic capitalist system built on profit and exploitation whilst nurses, shop workers, bus drivers etc risk their lives where some people can work from home and order food online.
Life, society and football must change.

Saline Saint reacted to The Real Saints in Saints v Aberdeen Sunday 24/11/19 @3pm.
It was an absolutely dreadful tackle which could have broken the guy's leg. People really shouldn't comment until they've seen the replay. Both red cards totally justified and considerably worse than any Aberdeen tackles.
Edited: Wait, someone has posted the video. How could anyone possibly say that he 'literally didn't touch the player'?
