A planning application has been made to demolish the buildings behind the Kop and build 50 houses. On the face of it selling the land to the chairman will reduce our indebtedness to him and the land is pretty much unused anyway. He is 41 and still turning out regularly for Tranmere after 9+ years and over 400 games for us and is a modern day hero - for all this to be thrown away over a quick buck or three is so so sad. Can only assume those arrested and bailed so far are only the tip of the ice-berg as how many of us could turn down upward of £30,000 for getting a booking or a sending off?
