I'd have quite liked McLean as the ref as well he seems fair and lets the game flow. Having a girly moment and saying he is quite easy on the eye as well!

At least if we find our team down 3-0 with 11 minutes to go , he might find an excuse to abandon the game , much as he did at Forfar all those years ago .

Seriously , don't think we will need the Ref. to help us to victory ,as long as he applies his rules equally to both teams .

At least there isn`t a west coast team in the final so Thomson might be ok.

It was always going to be him. After Gollum got the semi and MacLean reffed the LC final. The finale of the Scottish season could not be without the most important man in Scottish football.

 

It's a shame because I think Steven MacLean is the best ref in the country just now. He lets the game flow, explains his decisions and has a good relationship with players. He also understands the game, rather than just applying the rules to the absolute letter.

 

Probably why he hasn't been selected then!!

 

Thomson is arrogant, and as mentioned before, wants to be the centre of attention. The ball seldom goes from one end of the park to the other when he is in charge.
