Broon
Does anyone remember maurice ross at Rangers? The Sunday Mail has us looking at him after he was freed by Viking in Norway. Seem to remember he could play left back despite being right footed. Good strong and big defender.

How old is he now?
mainstand
He is only
Steve Maskrey
I think he was the next big thing at Rangers a few years ago and had been linked with a few teams down South. Would be a great signing if we can get him and rediscover his potential
templeofsaints
Wasn't a bad player if I recall but suffered from the usual "He plays for the OF therefore he must be the Next Big Thing In World Football" - see also Burke, Ferguson, Fleck, McGeady, Maloney etc etc etc
Jags Ya Bas!
I think he was the next big thing at Rangers a few years ago and had been linked with a few teams down South. It went further than that. He played for Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves and Millwall before heading to Norway. Noose may be able to give you an idea of how he shaped up in London. I've bumped into him a few times. Billy Big Time and coagy b****** to boot. It's not his personality you have to concern yourself with when he's on the pitch, though. 101 Saint
Possible discipline/attitude problems. Vital that Del is comprehensive in his enquiries. A right footed player at left back sounds like a panic. You sure it's not to replace Irvine?

Jags Ya Bas!
I'd suggest Saints are taking interest in him with one eye on promotion. It may be the manager's view that your current defensive pool doesn't possess the sufficient quality needed to compete consistently at SPL level. MUMBO JUMBO
Maurice Ross originally comes from Dundee. Used to see him in Broughty Ferry.
Scobby_SJFC
Good player, didnt think rangers should have let him go, would be delighted with that if it came through!!!

Del's got to start looking ahead and look at players like Ross to strengthen the defense

Possibly but the left-back slot will be up for grabs either at the end of this month (if Hanlon's loan isn't extended) or in the summer (if we haven't signed a replacement). Hanlon is good but unfortunatley Hibs have realised that and we haven't got a hope of signing him permanently.
St Mikey
Do we not have Gary Irvine at right back?!?! Would be another useless costly addition to the team. I never thought he was any good. We need to get a left back as Hanlon will be trotting back to Easter Rd when the season finishes.
soulfulsaint
was Ross not at Millwall with McInnes and Jody - or did their times not overlap?
Mike180279
He was capped for Scotland, sure he got sent off against the Gerries in Dortmund.....Strange one, must be with SPL in mind.

Tarvie
was Ross not at Millwall with McInnes and Jody - or did their times not overlap? All 3 were at Millwall 2006-2007, guess the old friends act could be working here if this does happen!

You'd think it would play a part. Everyone who seems to have had any playing contact with Del has been nothing but impressed as usually, you'd think Ross would have his sights set a bit higher. Not sure he was ever Rangers (or Scotland) class but he should be easily good enough for this level and obviously brings SPL experience with the future possibly in mind. Aitchy
On the official site now, that Ross was just training with us, as his team in Norway are in the middle of a winter break. Del denys any attempt to bring him to club.

Del denys any attempt to bring him to club. He also denied trying to sign Samuel. Expect to see him signed by the end of the month or in the summer then. If he wasn't interested in signing him, why's he here training with us?
Radford 72
Have to agree with Steve, I'm not sure I believe Mr McInnes! Ross could well just have been training to keep fit over the close season but why has this only come out now and why is there a suggestion he's available from Stavanger. Let's hope he's as good as the last player we signed from them.
Noose76
Millwall fans are saying he was a load of bollocks, but they're a hard to please bunch. I pulled a bird a few years back who showed me texts and photos he sent her of himself with his top off. Says it all really when that's how you try and pull a bird.
