Can't do that. Tony Blair will invade us.

Denzil reacted to Gussie in What was your favourite pub in Perth that is no longer with us ?
Good to see the Plough Inn mentioned in despatches. I did my drinking apprenticeship there with Drew Falconer and a shed load of others then. Good place in those days.
The PA published a list of shut pubs a while ago: (2011)
The bodycount of Perth pubs includes the Star Bar, Railway Tavern, St Leonards, The Clachan, Atholl Arms, The White Horse, The Kings Arms, Feus Hoose, The Gowrie Bar, Hal o’ the Wynd, The Friarton Inn, Plough Inn, Riverside Inn and, more recently, the Bridgend, which is understood to be reopening soon.
Despite offering patrons cheaper bar prices, various clubs have also bitten the dust – the Perth Memorial Club, Royal Army Service Corps Club, the Polish Club, Black Watch Club, the Celtic Supporters’ Club, St Johnstone Supporters Club on Dunkeld Road, Kinnoull Club and the Railway Club.
Suspect there's been more casualties since then.

Tam Scobbie is exactly the type of player every club needs. Need a left back? He'll play. Need a centre half? He'll play. Need a midfielder? He'll play. Need a goalie? Tam will do it. Need a player to get totally wasted after a great Euro performance and spend a night with the fans celebrating? He'll do it. Important penalty in a Euro game? Tam will take it.
Honestly, he may have his limitations but you can't fault the guy. If you asked him clean the bloody toilets for Saints I'm sure he'd do it.
I also think it's easy to remember his mistakes but who remembers all of his last ditch, goal saving tackles? He puts it on the line every time he plays. St Johnstone are where we are now because of the Tam Scobbie's, not because of fancy, flashy footballers.

Until he's a prick in a Saints shirt he deserves to be given a chance. As others have said we've thought certain players were complete tossers till they played for Saints. In fact people I thought were alright before Saints have turned out to be complete wanks.

My random brain-splurge of thoughts on all this...
If we, as football fans, want to see fences going back up at football grounds, then we're going the right way about it. We all like to moan about fans being treated as criminals, but every time something like this happens it reinforces the institutional view that football fans, in general, cannot be trusted to behave. What's the real reason that Saints fans missed out on extra tickets for the League Cup semi-final, and that authorities don't want fans of different sides mixing in the same stand at big games? Just look at what happened on Saturday for the reason. I personally feel that all adults who invade a football pitch, individually or collectively, should be hit with a massive fine whenever they can be identified. It's the only way I can think of to stop this from happening, short of going back to the measures of the pre-Hillsborough days.
Hibs' history is irrelevant. Saints, as a club, waited longer for our Scottish Cup win, and our fans didn't see the need to behave like that. (The BBC commentator repeatedly mentioned that Hibs fans had waited over 100 years for this - bollocks, unless that lot were all a lot older than they looked.)
The SFA and SPFL collectively need to carry a lot of the blame for this. They have routinely failed to keep both Rangers and Sevco under control. That club(s) has fed off an environment of hatred, bullying, sectarianism and downright cheating - is it any wonder there is massive national resentment towards them? It's only surprising that it's taken until now for there to be serious crowd trouble, because this has been bubbling under for years, and unless someone gets a grip of them then this is only going to get worse. And now they're releasing official club statements that border on setting their pack of dogs on specific named individuals. Next season they're going to have big games every week, including four games against Celtic - how long is it going to be until someone is seriously hurt?

Denzil reacted to ex-montrosesaintee in Ibrox latest...
Anyone else think that the police clearly had the situation under control BEFORE they brought the horses in, and then notice all the headlines 'horseback police required for first time since 1980'. Sensationalism from those paid to protect?

Sevco still waiting to win their first ever.

Denzil reacted to Kevin James Is On Stilts in Ibrox latest...
Don't disagree with you at all, pitch invasion is almost all down to the Hibs fans.
But the sectarian bile coming across loud and clear during and after the game will be swept under the rug by the authorities as per.
