Good on you! These things just take someone to actually break the mould, kickstart and persevere with it.
    Well played!

I think some funnily timed "Brittain is a saintee, lets all laugh at county" every time he mucks up a pass, or does anything not 100% perfect could really put him off today, and ensure we are focussing our anger at the situation in a positive way.

Like we do to savo when we play dundee.

Last year was a great night out, we got some interesting insights from the Steve's (Lomas and Brown) Muzz managed to get a Young Player of the Year Award and even Ando spoke on the mic, albeit to tell Muzz to GIRUY

So if you can make it come along, it is a good fun evening with the players, management team and Directors and the food and drink go down really well (and easily.....)

Confirmed tonight that this seasons  player of the year awards will take place at McDiarmid Park on Saturday 4th May 7pm for 7.30pm,  but like last year the bar will be open from 5pm for those who are not at Tannadice.

The format  will be the same as last season with a  quality buffet seved in each suite before the various awards are presented in the main stand. Then afterwards  into the Muirton Suite for a good drink and some  singing and dancing. The price has also been pegged at last years  £25 for adults and £10 for under 18's.

WAP will be presenting two awards. Player of the year and Young player of the year. The numbers are limited to 250. The club have  distributed  some tickets  between the various supporters clubs ( although not all supporters clubs were represented at tonights planning meeting ( Edinburgh, Glasgow and Highland Saints as well as  Auchterarder Saints) If any of the reps from these clubs would like tickets for their group please contact Roddy  Grant at Saints  on
01738 459090 as soon as possible. The club will also be selling tickets direct  probably from the start of next week. The evening was sold out quickly last year, so if you want to attend please  don't  leave it to long to  avoid disappointment

I have been given 16 tickets to sell to WAP users who wish to attend the event.( if I need a few more, I may be able to  get  a couple ). I am now taking names ( I hope to have tickets  in my possession by this Friday).

If you want a ticket from me, please  PM me as soon as possible.

Jailtours, Barossa Saints and the 208 Saints have also been given an allocation so if you are involved with these  clubs then please contact them for your tickets.

Hopefully a few wins  before the night will make it a great  evening and we can  show our appreciation for the players great efforts over this season.

Destroyed families with the crippling interest rates that paid for her cronies to pay less tax on their millions, poll tax got folk thrown out their homes and whilst many think she broke the glass ceiling for women, once she broke through it they had to repair it with reinforced glass to prevent anything else like this ever happening again!!

Having done Marketing and Promotions over the years it seems obvious to me that we need a presence in the town, the shop before Christmas did really well as folk could just drop in, if we had one in June/July tmie where you could acrually meet the players/manager etc and be sold/buy your season ticket there and then I am sure it would help. Even a table with umbrella in the centre like the AA/RAC have.....

Saints need to do a lot more promotion within the town as well, we did it with Hospital Radio and racked up a lot of support so I am sure we could promote Saints this way too.

A few after school events at the supermarkets where the kids are given their vouchers would bring them and their dad/mum through the turnstiles as well. The Scottish version of WWE did this at Asda and had loads of folk queuing up to get photos/autographs/tickets etc.

The players and management need to give more commitment to the town instead of scurrying off back to Glasgow, ST holders and those that go through the gates every week pay their wages so it would be nice to see them doing some community work to bring the awareness of the club back up again.

Too many folk think that the club will just self perpetuate but unfortunately it doesn't when you are in the state we are in. Club needs to think outside the square, or the ground in this case, to look at ways of drumming up trade. Even the PA when it advertises the SPL does not have a picture of any Saints players but this is more likely due to it being a Lanarkshire based newspaper now.

Sorry to go off-line a few times there but these were just my thoughts, and they are my own as an individual not as the stadium announcer and as such I distance myself from the role in my thoughts

At the game itself i wasnt convinced he actually meant that goal,i thought he just lashed out at the ball after the Accies defender tried to take him out the game, but watching the (not great quality) highlights i could well be wrong.

I for one am proud of my team, be it a diddy one or a not, but they are MY team and they are flying high for the second season in a row despite the doubters that said we would go straight back down after promotion and those that said we would never get a top 6 finish let alone play in Europe again!!

Support is bad and that has been talked to death on WAP but it is still a concern that we shuold all have and one that does need to be addressed before the end of the season. Yes, Perth-folk-love-to-moan hads raised a good point abuot the negativity on here, there is far too much of it and sadly it may well be driving people away from this 'dreary club' and 'crap team' together with their 'Lomas must go!' attitudes.

I have looked at several other clubs' fans forum and they get nothing like the negativity we do, why is that? Maybe because they are also proud of their team and it's achievements. It has been said that St Johnstone needs to be promoted in the city in a much better and positive light, well let's start right here and get everyone wanting to read the latest good news and wanting to be a part of the support, cheering on 'their' team and 'our' team and 'my' team, the team that is St Johnstone!!

We do play a tune when a goal is scored and it has just been changed to the middle riff from 'I Gotta A Feeling' by the Black Eyed Peas.

As to individual tunes for each player, we did experiment with this a few seasons ago but it was a real mess, the players could/would not choose and we ended up with one generic track and about 5 chosen ones, it is a nice idea and given digital media with which to play it, it would be great but using a 10 year old CD player that is not very responsive makes life hard.

If anyone has a 6 channel mixer unit and double deck cd player that they would like to donate, please PM me....... I can run my laptop or iPad through the current mixer but it blows the trips and all you get is silence, like what happened when Muzz scored on Saturday.....

The shouting of the player's surnames after a goal is a total waste of time as the home crowd hardly even cheer the names when I do the team lines and I cannot think how embarrassing it would look if I shouted out "Saints 2nd Goal Scored By GREGORY..." and a few young voices squeaked "Tade", so no, unless the entire fan base get together and sort that out it will not be happening, much as it would sound good, we would need about 5-6000 home fans there to make it work properly

Speaking personally now and in no way part of the club set-up (I think Steve and I am the only ones at the club without a club winter jacket or a name badge....).

    - Convert one half of the Ormond Stand to allow standing (was always best behind the goals)
    - 16 team league with two up/down and third and fourth play offs
    - No end of season split
    - Loyalty scheme for renewing season tickets/paying at the gate where you get something out of it for the money you pay
    - If a match is not being played on a Saturday, due to television rights, charge half price and get more folk in (tv money will support this)

Mon tae feck. Lets put the misery of Tynecastle behind us and get up to McD this Saturday to cheers the team on to a victory that will get the ship back on an even keel.

We can do it. We ARE good enough.

Sadly I predict a crowd of less than 3000 will be there but that's just how it is.

What's important now is that while we still have a decent chance, we need to get back behind the manager and the team. It is still firmly in our hands. Beat Killie, Beat Utd and draw with ICT and we will be there.

And if you are reading this SL, FFS stop complicating things, play the best players in there best positions and quit with this namby pamby shite. Tell the team to just go out there and give their all, to put their heart and soul into it and to figh like lions to sort out this situation. DO NOT be meek. Go for it Saints!!!!!!!
