cristo got a reaction from Cagerf in Saints v Saints 16/3/2019
3 of us set off at 1130 and got South of Aviemore when we heard the game was off. Nice breakfast at Newtonmore truck stop though.
Also tried to gee myself up with the rugby but turned off at 19-0. Ah well.

Agree entirely. I cannot understand anyone who wants our closest rivals to be relegated just so as we can laugh at them. Look at the crowd we took to Dens at new year. The atmosphere at these games is second to none, get Hamilton and St Mirren down and Arabs back up via the play offs.

Have I mentioned George Hunter recently? Scored six yesterday.

Rodgers on a two man short list to replace him apparently, Benitez the other one

Who cares. Seriously. It's a joke.
To take the OF games seriously is to think they are in the same league. They are not. One has 100M turnover v Saints 5m, and the other is bankrupt x 2, relying on dirty money in loans to sustain a ridiculous position in the league.
Our team, our manager, our fans, our club are the real ****ing deal...................... MON THE SAINTS

Celtic were unplayable today, we weren't at the races and got humped. It means we're out the cup, big deal, let's get things sorted out for the upcoming league games and aim for this top six.

Just as well you got it before the transfer deadline or it would not be valid.

cristo got a reaction from garydavidson in Celtic v Saints, Premiership, 30 Jan 2019
Yeah fair comment, if we win on Sunday it will have little or no effect on final league standings, but a win in the cup would be nice.
To hell, let's just win them both for the fun of it.

47 years and counting, the best central defender I've seen in a St. Johnstone shirt. Jason Kerr.

Jason Kerr. Outstanding footballer, the best Scottish born centre half playing the game just now.

Me too, if only to chauffeur GMac.
Good news about muzz but I think Callaghan deserves to hold onto his place for now.

I hope we never see VAR. Did you see that Southampton v Derby match the other night? Shocking. The goal had been given, no one argued, and everyone was back up the pitch ready to kick off. Someone, I presume in the VAR room, had a word with the ref and persuaded him to have look. He watched it about five times and then decided to disallow the goal for offside. Absolute disgrace of a decision and if this is supposed to help referees and football in general, then it's being used all wrong.

I think Kerr would be silly to move just now if offered. He has just broke into the team and is getting regular first team football allowing him to develop. Why then move to potential be put back on the bench and move backwards in terms of development. He has seen 1st hand the outcome of all the players who have moved on from saints in recent time. May, ohalloran, swanson. Better to develop first and move when you know you are being brought in as a key player rather than a fringe player

Happens time and time again but they can't see it. The lure of supposed big bucks... Sandaza, O'Halloran, May...

Jason Kerr was the unanimous man of the match in the Highland Saints car on the way home last night.

And Kerr is a far better centre half than McKenna. I'd be gutted to lose Kerr to anyone at the moment.
If he continues to progress at Saints for another year or so, he might even catch the eye for Scotland and be worth serious money.

I’m not going to lie, I would be extremely disappointed if our club captain signed for Aberdeen, Hearts or Hibs - especially considering we have offered him a very good deal to stay.
I know people people are banding round the “no loyalty in football” and “it’s a short career” even the usual pish about “if another company offered you a pay rise at your work, would you not take it”.....
There is a lot to be said for the fact that he is a club captain being offered the chance to sign a relatively lucrative, relatively long term contract at a team where he is the first name on the team sheet, the manager, players and fans love him and they gave him the platform to transform his career.
Stick around, Joe and get a big money move down south in a year or so....
