City Hall

Thing is about the City Hall...it's not even in a location where you get a good look at it and think what a lovely building it is (even though it may be). All it does is make that area all dark. It's had it's day i'm afraid. An open square there would do so much more for the town.

Build a wee extension to the Concert Hall and call that the City Hall if you feel the need to have one at all

how much of our money is it going to cost to knock it doon?

The initial estimates for taking it down and levelling the square are at around £4m. True story.

"The cost of scheme is estimated at £4.4m, but the report said an additional 15,000 people per year would extend their stay in the city, with an extra 60,000 coming for events."

Hope they knock down the concert hall too.

1, Acoustically crap (ask anyone who's performed there)

2, Built in the wrong place

3, 1200 capacity......useless

1. I've been to a few gigs/shows there and never noticed any problem with the acoustics.

2. What's wrong with the location?

3. Better than what we had before. And is it not larger capacity when the bottom seats are removed for a standing area?
