Remberbuck
Snow on again in Edinburgh. "The snow is starting to lie in the Angus town now and the match official has been called". Has the feel and tone of the last rites.
martialmarts63
Hi all, just about to leave Inverness was wondering is it best to turn of at Dunkeld and go cross country to Brechin, wondering about road conditions,or head down to Perth and along Dundee way? cheers anybody. In pitlochry the roads are still black, but its snowing quite hard. Dunkeld always gets it worse so may be sensible to just go via Perth. I would come down to Perth, personally. You could cut through Scone way rather than heading out to Dundee. But obviously dual carriageways and motorways will be clearer than those sorts of roads. It has been snowing for three hours in Perth and it's melting almost as quickly as it's lying so there's more slush on the pavements than the sort of thick snow you'd expect from three uninterrupted hours worth of snowfall. No snow on the roads at all here.

SaintSam1884
How about going via Aberdeen & down A90. Is Inverness - Aberdeen not the same distance as Inverness - Perth but on an even worse road than the A9? Wouldn't fancy it myself.
