George Grieve
Did anyone else hear comments made on Sportsound on Saturday, regarding teams avoiding promotion this year to get money from 'the Rangers' when they get promoted(apparently it's an inevitability) into Div 2 for next season. Worrying if it's true...... Davey
stanley saint
someone has to get promoted and relegated so someone will miss out
SingaporeSaint
Makes sense if your a small club with limited income.
Abernethy Saint
I could believe this. Worst case scenario for wee clubs would be missing Sevco altogether by getting your promotion/relegation timing wrong. Best case scenario of course is that the issue doesn't arise.... rik2304
I remember a few years ago the Stenhousemuir Chairman saying that he didnt want promotion as they couldnt afford the step up.

Tranmere Saintee
Apparently most clubs in the third are saying that it is costing them money having Rangers in their league as the policing costs out-way the extra income. Never mind the inconvenience to local business owners when the hoards of scum come calling, pissing all over thier cafes, nicking and breaking stuff left right and centre john1962
Teamwork
it would be nice for one of the clubs if they could follow Newco through the divisions, might be worth the likes of Peterhead throwing a few quid at it to hang on their coat tails for the next couple of seasons. But yes i think some second division clubs might want to stay down this season to get the Rangers effect next year, sad if they do though. Honest Saints Fan
I remember a few years ago the Stenhousemuir Chairman saying that he didnt want promotion as they couldnt afford the step up. Dumbarton's board had similar feelings last season.
