The words of a good guy, and a guy with a past that people respect, can go a long way to change the opinions of the general population. My son and daughter have Asperger's Syndrome, and for a long time that was the label of the odd kid, but the revelations of various high profile and hugely talented and successful people with or believed to have had the disorder have helped dramatically.
