Alastair Stevenson said after the double, he was inundated with calls from parents of youngsters to give them a chance they weren't getting at other clubs. We've seen how successful these youth teams have been in the last couple of years. To maintain that level of support we need to bring those who are capable through and not stunt their development. Hence my major need is to have good quality coaching so replace those that are there meantime. The whole negative culture has to change and it cannot with so many heavily indoctrinated. There are enough quality in those being retained to suggest that if we can recruit an entire defense and a playmaker we could be in good shape going forward. We have to stay up this year, just have to.

It was a 2 year deal, so he's contracted for next season.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere a while back that the McDiarmid family (or whoever inherited Bruce McDiarmid's shares) was the second-biggest shareholder after Brown, but maybe someone on here knows better. There was a share issue in the 80s and there are a few fans who own a small number of shares as a result of that. I'm assuming Steve Brown himself was never a share holder so that'll be the Brown family fully out.

How long is Mitov's contact? His move from Cambridge was great for him... I'd imagine more caps coming his way...

I wouldn't take much solace from this - lawyers operating at his level are more than aware of business opportunities, investments, etc and entirely capable of adopting a range of business models from asset stripping/closing to long term sustainability. Over the next few months there will lots of 'saying the right things' in public but until he has his feet under the table (or has recruited someone to run the club for him) we won't know what we are getting. I am happy to be optimistic about the sale until shown otherwise but proper judgement will have to wait until we see him in action.
