I was impressed with our attacking play on Saturday. It seems that McLean's preferred way of playing is slowly starting to work.
It feels like it's been a while since we've been so positive going forward and with all of the front men linking together so well.
I also thought Ballantyne's ability to look for, and make a telling forward pass, gave us a cutting edge that we've been missing for a while.
Winning four nil was a nice change. I feel that in the recent past we would have gone two up and shut the game down rather than continue to go forward.
It's certainly a much nicer feeling now looking forward to games thinking that you might actually get entertained with the football we play.

What if I told you that Bair had the 2nd most assists last season. And that Crawford was joint 3rd.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/st-johnstone/top-scorers/assists

I wouldn't say Bair was a bad signing just because it's not worked out for him. Young players are always a risk and there is a potential the club clearly see there. I suspect a side in England League Two, or National League, will see him as a rough diamond who needs a run of first team football. There will be clubs looking for players who have potential but not the chance to have shown it fully and Bair might appeal to them. Who knows what a change of scene might do for him.
Crawford has always been a curious one for me. He seems to work well as a super-sub, coming on and making things happen, but then rarely delivers when playing the whole game. I'm not sure why that is, but 2 goals and 2 assists in the amount of game time he's had isn't a bad return. Highest goals per game (excluding Kane's 2 cameos) and the player who hits the target most often (of players with 5 or more shots). For a much maligned player his stats for the season are actually quite good given his limited playing time. I do wonder if a change in formation might suit his game and we might see a more consistent player next season.

That will be an insane press day:
Our manager wins the manager of the year award
Our manager has left the club
Callum Davidson is our new manager!

Don't care at this stage.  McLean in temporary charge is not the right decision - IMO he has been part of the problem.  Bulletproof handing the reigns to McLean is just another example of him not knowing what the f*** he's doing.  Hopefully not long until he's away either.  Would have been better with Liam.
First thing to do is have a change of captain on field, and drop Gordon to the bench for a bit.  Simply not good enough for a long time.  Maybe taking the captains role away will allow him to rediscover some form.
James McFadden can go f*** himself too

Nah.  He's the striker coach as well.  We've gone through way too many long stretches where we simply can't hit a coo's a*** wi' a banjo.  Look at the misses yesterday...  No room for sentimentality.  He's Inept and should have been dumped as well.

Our transfer strategy over the last few years is the main reason Davidson and anyone associated with should be out.  For me this the  list of players he's signed permanently that could be described postively:
IN (permanent) - Considine, Phillips, Clark, Wright, Hallberg, Conway, Bryson and Melamed
The majority of these players were on the wrong side of 30 and yet were given long term contracts.
In the same period we lost
Mccan, Kerr, Rooney, Mccart and to a lesser extent Hendry (who davidson didn't rate), Craig and Tanser.
Weve also wasted money on signing Macpherson, Mahon and Bair.
I understand there is an element of risk with these signings but I think most people could watch Bair in a bounce game and realise he's not got it.
When you look at clubs we should be competing with signings for they've signed in the same period:
Livi - Stephen Kelly, Bruce Anderson, Obileye, Omeonga, Alan Forres
St Mirren - Carson, O'hara, Gogic, Kiltie, Brophy
Motherwell - Spittal, Mcginn, Van Veen, Kelly
All players that would be well known, would improve the team and at the right age to develop further or provide a number of seasons with the club.
Instead we've had directors of footballers identify players Davidson clearly doesn't want like Eetu or panic bought Efe Ambrose.  If you had to sum our policy up in one player it would be Ali Crawford.  On loan and underwhelming but offered effectively a three year contract.
The double season with European football was a fantastic opportunity that we have managed to fumble.  If Davidson is given another summer to sign players we'll be fighting relegation next season. A new manager needs to untangle this mess of a squad as soon as possible.

Remi comes from a club run by competent professionals, our club is run by amateurs who could hardly organise a Sunday league club.

The facts are there for all to see. Out of both cups at the first opportunity, no clean sheets in 18 games, dreadful form (particularly at home), rotten football, no clear pathway for any younger players, yet there seems to be no desire from the powers that be to address all these issues that have been going on now for at least 18 months.
Ive seen people mention that as the club is for sale the Browns won’t get rid of Davidson as it would make the club appear to be in disarray to any potential buyer. If we continue with Davidson in charge, things will only get worse. Given our dreadful home form and performances, I would not be surprised if season ticket sales drop dramatically next season if Davidson is still in charge.
Get rid of him now, get a new manager in place so that he can assess the squad ahead of the summer transfer window opening. One can only dream…

This is even worse than White. Is this really the best we can do? He's just filling our squad with rubbish.
Most clubs have some sort of signing policy. Ross pick youngsters up from England on loan, Hearts have looked to Australia, Dundee Utd have links in Africa, Livingston have a moneyball approach. We just seem to sign whomever Davidson has thought of last. It's so grim.

You can’t???? Our defence is Liam Gordon, Alex Mitchell and Andy Considine!
How the f*** he gets away with playing, largely unchallenged, Liam Gordon and Alex Mitchell in the same back 5 is criminal. ALEX MITCHELL IS NEVER EVER THE RIGHT CENTRE BACK OF A THREE! Dire dire times!
Our midfield lynchpins are Ryan McGowan and Graham Carey!
I can every bit believe it.
Too many square pegs in round holes.
