Cagey
Thank **** he is away. Will worry about a replacement once the elation has worn off. McFadden says he can't believe it , it's a shocking decision and hope it doesn't get them relegated.
crieffsaintandy
McFadden on Sky just now saying shocking decision, the media in this country are bloody awful, boys club, just need that clown preston on giving his expert opinion. Think we need a complete clear out, Liam Craig no where near ready. George Grieve and garydavidson
SlickDT
I really wanted it to work for him, but he just wasn't good enough. Thanks for your part in the double Callum, but it's what is best for the club.
HertsAgain
Don't care at this stage. McLean in temporary charge is not the right decision - IMO he has been part of the problem. Bulletproof handing the reigns to McLean is just another example of him not knowing what the f*** he's doing. Hopefully not long until he's away either. Would have been better with Liam. First thing to do is have a change of captain on field, and drop Gordon to the bench for a bit. Simply not good enough for a long time. Maybe taking the captains role away will allow him to rediscover some form. James McFadden can go f*** himself too Edited April 16, 2023 by HertsAgain George Grieve, Cagey, garydavidson and 3 others
Shibbydoo
Maybe the main battle none of us have noticed is between Macca & Callum? Here's hoping.
Brian Potter
Is Macca not part of the problem rather than the solution to it? Should he not have gone with CD? Placing an inexperienced coach in charge of a relegation battle. Time will tell I guess. Born2Bru and dave mc
The Kinross Saint
I’d imagine Macca is the obvious caretaker until a new manager decides what coaches he wants to keep. Would mainly read in to it that we’ll see an external appointment.
Linky
I imagine MacLean will continue until the end of the season. If we stay up he’ll get the job and if we don’t it’ll be Cleland/Craig/Consadine management team.

He's the striker coach as well. We've gone through way too many long stretches where we simply can't hit a coo's a*** wi' a banjo. Look at the misses yesterday... No room for sentimentality. He's Inept and should have been dumped as well. Shibbydoo, Cagey, sixties saintee and 2 others

rik2304
Should have happened after Kelty. If not then it should have happened after the league cup group stage this season.
Saintdunc
No, but we do have Vertainen available now that Linfield’s season has just finished. Unfortunately our new, interim leader McLean, doesn’t rate him………allegedly!

MrBored
Quite surprised that they have taken the decision now rather than leave it to the new owners. I guess SB feels a Premier league team is easier to sell than a Championship one, so make the change now and hope. Getting rid of the whole of the coaching staff would be too much at one time I suspect and they hope that a new voice will get the team playing better. Perhaps Maclean has been a doubter of CDs tactics and he will let them play a method that suits them between now and the end of the season. I wouldn't pay much attention to the likes of McFadden, he hasn't had to watch us for the pass two seasons....if he had he'd know fine there were issues needing addressed. Part of me wonders whether the players have stopped listening to CD and were going through the motions. It will be interesting to see what they are like in the next game.
