Norsaint reacted to Bruno Strasser in Zander Clark
Inevitable he would move on but after 40 plus years of following the club it still hurts when a player moves to the Old Firm. Irrational but still gets under my skin. Was hoping for him and Saints it would be a move down south.

Norsaint reacted to Radford 72 in Reserve League News 2018/19
Another bizarre stance above, to pick out Kevin O'Hara from a club that produced Kinglsey, Fulton, McGrandles etc...
Three benefits of the academy that come immediately to mind:
Best chance of club gaining the services of a top class player that can be sold for significant money.
Negates the need to sign players like Hart, Doyle, Krachunov and the likes if you have a good youth system. Boys who take money for nothing.
Creates a good community link if you give the best local young players a platform.
There will be more. What are the negatives? It costs a bit of money? The sale of Davidson, Griffin, Scott and McAnespie over 20 years ago is probably still covering the cost of running it if need be.
Until we know and the club illustrate their vision, this is a very poor move.

That’s a pretty clear indication of where things went “wrong” this year.

Something not right there for sure.

Norsaint reacted to SlickDT in Saints vs Livi - 9/3/19
Tommy has been backed extremely well in the market by the club and it's time that those players started producing the goods.
He said that certain players keep making the same mistakes and not learning, well I'm afraid Tommy is in the same boat- he keeps picking those players that are letting the side down.
The gaffer is still the right man for the job, but it's time to be brave and play with attacking threat.
We have the players to turn it round. Davidson and Spoony are prime examples of players that are not as good as other options in the squad at this moment. Callaghan and Alston are better options just now, give them a regular chance to show it.
The back four were fantastic in our run of clean sheets, Craig started the season so well. Kennedy ripped teams up at points. Let's get the right formation, tactics and bodies on the pitch and we can get some results going.

Tommy says nobody was running into space. In the last 10 minutes of Hibs game Alston was brought on in left wing position WTF & then was moved to right . He then made 3 or 4 runs behind from passes by Swanson.
Next game is still not picked.
Think he is still our second top goal scorer on limited game time.
Is he being frozen out like Millar & Scougall before him.

Norsaint reacted to ss75990 in St.Johnstone v Aberdeen Saturday 23rd Feb
Big game. Making the top 6 is very tight and every point could be valuable to securing it. Hopefully we can get results on our own and don't have to rely on other results as we approach the split. Wouldn't be surprised if he started with the same 11 from the Zombies game. COYS!!!!!

Treble Treble that should be enough motivation! Fecks sake it was boring enough when it was a two horse race, now we have a one horse race it’s even worse... it wouldn’t be so bad but they still expect everything and get everything... wonder how many penalties/50/50 decisions they will get whether they need them or not!!
So come on Saints you can do it.... we must stop the mascara man and his fake humbleness! Called Saints an honest team... we’ll see how long he takes to change his mind tomorrow..

I agree have a go!! if you pack the defence surrender 60% of the field to them let them come at you for 90 mins with the hope of a break away the end result is inevitable as is the result. By all means defend well for the ENTIRE 90 odd mins but have real go at them any team that has had success against them has done that. We all know their main weakness is defensively let'stry and exploit that.
1-0 Saints, Goss to score

This is the one I want to win, I am not saying we are going to but we have a chance, if we win this we would have a very good chance of going all the way. Let’s dump the negativity get right behind the team and see where it takes us. # killthetrebltreble

Norsaint reacted to SaintJet in Hamilton Away
It was a pretty lame performance all round last night but lets be honest it's been coming for a while and sometimes we need a good kick up the arse to get us going again. Defending was criminal last night but we have been water tight in games before the Hearts game so hopefully this is just wee hiccup.
If I have one serious criticism about the manager just now it is that we seem to be setting up the differently every time we go out nowadays and with the wealth of options at his disposal it's not surprising. Lets get back to a settled side and formation and try and stick to minimum changes.

Just a wee thank you to all who dontated to today’s bucket collection and helped raise £866 for Kinfauns RDA which is most appreciated and will provide so much joy to the handicapped riders.
I hope none of you got conned by the pair collecting outside the gates next to the Tesco roundabout, they were apparently collecting for animal welfare with ‘green and white’ buckets, but didn’t have permission from the club to be collecting.

Norsaint reacted to Ginger Bakers rebel army in Super saints 10 year of success
This is our 10th year in the top division.
In that time 18 clubs have been the league, 19 if you count 2 from Govan.
Of those 18 only 5 have been in for all 10 years, Saints, Celtic, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Killie.
10 year league table up to kick off today looks like this.
Celtic 861 pts,
Aberdeen 570 pts
Saints 504 pts
Motherwell 490 pts
Killie 434 pts
RFC Combined 432 pts
Hearts 426 pts
DUFC 372 pts
ICT 354 pts
Hibs 306 pts
Ross County 260 pts
St Mirren 232 pts
Hamilton 210 pts
Partick 205 pts
Dundee 182 pts
Dunfermline 55 pts
Falkirk 31pts
Livingstone 30 pts
Amazing record, we don't get a fraction of the credit we deserve.

Norsaint reacted to 541ntees in Hearts v Saints at Tynie 26/1/19
Dreadful decision to start 3 at the back esp after the last time we played at murrayfield but even more shocking that we started the 2bd half considering it was never working. That’s a poor hearts side and they were 1st to every ball.
only plus side was to see Danny getting half an hour and looking up for it

Norsaint reacted to HALLS ANGEL in Scottish cup
We have knocked Celtic out of the Scottish Cup at Parkhead in 1936 2-1 with Jimmy Beattie scoring both goals. So it is time to do it again with Tony Watt getting two goals.
-
Norsaint reacted to HALLS ANGEL in Scottish cup
We have played Celtic four times at Parkhead in the Scottish Cup.
1936 won 2-1 Jimmy Beattie both goals
1969 lost 3-2 Hall equalised for Saints to make it 1-1 Celtic went on to lead 3-1 Connolly scored late consolation. This is not what is reported in Manifest Destiny, as they mix it up with a league game at Muirton which Saints led 2-0 at half time and lost 2-3. Hall and Connolly scored.
1986 lost 2-0
2003 lost 3-0
Saints have only played Celtic once in Perth in the Scottish Cup, that was in 1932 losing 4-2 Jimmy Benson scoring Saints goals.
Lost semi final at Hampden in 2007 2-1 Martin Hardie scored.

You can add this season 1/2 season tickets to that.
The team are absolutely flying on the park. Yet, I would be surprised if we have sold more 1/2 season tickets than any other year.
We should be screaming from the rooftops!!

Norsaint reacted to Wendy Saints in Michael O'Halloran
I think he was on fire until that thug O’Dea at Dundee injured him, deliberately imo... he did enough to get a pay day at Castle Greyskull.. shouldn’t have underestimated the sectarian bile he was likely to get, but can’t blame him for trying to make the most of a short career. After that experience he probably thought the further away he got the better.. unfortunate he had a hamstring injury.
I think he’s worth the chance, has pace something you can never have too much of! As for the Swanson comment, once he’s fully fit he can still do a turn for us.. 2 flare players .. what’s not to like about that! :-)
