Was a wonderful experience to be at the Emirates arena in Glasgow yesterday to witness Andy Murray clinch the winning game that puts Britain into the final of the Davis Cup with Belgium.

Atmosphere was electric, but glad there were no shocks.

Congrats to Andy and good luck to the Team in the Final.

Whilst the guy is indeed immense, this is a no-brainier. He has never done well at the WTF and after taxes and expenses he wouldn't have earned much by his standards. More to the point, the future sponsorship and other earnings relating to a likely Davies cup win, the inevitable knighthood that this will confirm, either immediately or on retirement, plus the satisfaction of the achievement, are all far far more important. That's what his very expensive advisors will have been telling him.

Was looking at taking the kids and cheapest restricted view seats for me an 2 under 12s was costing 100quid and could have gone up to 400. Hope no one grumps about the prices at mcd again.

£65 in the West side of the arena , 3rd row seat in the rear section was definitely value for money.

Was trying to identify the restricted view area, but couldn't locate this.

Was sitting (well when I wasn't on my feet cheering) opposite "back the Brits" cheer leaders.

As said, £65 to be thoroughly entertained by guys trying their hardest was well worth it, even though Andy did demolish the Aussie.

Spoke to a young Oz fan later and asked if he was feeling gutted, thumping his chest, he replied that his heart had been broken.

While that may be true, it doesn't detract from the passion he showed after winning the doubles tie against Australia.
To be playing alongside his brother, in Scotland and in front of a decidedly more "partisan" crowd than you get at Wimbledon must be immense.
