Fair play to Stubbs and McCann, both say ours was a pen and theirs was a dive, doesn't help overall but hopefully helps the SFA come to the correct decision of rescinding the red card and throwing the book at the cheat

It soon became apparant that Clark inherited a squad that brought glory, then gradually managed to ruin it

O'HALLORAN LOOKING FORWARD TO CELTIC CLASH St. Johnstone forward Michael O'Halloran looks ahead to tonight's home clash with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic: "I was delighted to get my goal against Ross County on Sunday, but I think the most important thing was to get a good start to the league season with 3 points, which is what we did. Macca (Steven MacLean) chipped in with a brilliant goal as well so we were delighted to get our first win of the season in the opening game. Looking back to the 3-3 draw with Celtic towards the end of last season (a game where Michael scored the equalising goal), I feel it was a game that we should have won as we played really well in that. On Wednesday night it's Celtic's opening game and they'll be wanting to get off to a good start but we'll be at home and we want to show the fans what we're all about in our opening league home game. I'm sure it will be a good game. I think Celtic will win the league quite comfortably again. Obviously their budget is a lot higher than the rest but I think they'll be a few teams fighting for second place and I think we're in with a chance of getting in there. There's a lot of people that write us off but we've shown before what we're all about so we'll be pushing to finish as high up the league as possible. I definitely think we can get the three points against Celtic, we go into every game thinking we can get the win. We're at home so we'll be looking to go at them from the off and the aim is to get the three points." -

Mon Ross interview him.

The more i hear about tommy wright the more i like him, a man of his word such a humble guy he says its a privilage to manage a team like saits but after winning the Scottish cup with saints am sure he could have his pick of teams...am upset at Stevie may leaving but if tommy wright left would of been more upset so difficult to find such a genuine guy and great manager in football these days!! He has my respect

There's a young Scottish striker at Sheffield Wednesday that might be worth an offer.

The way Steve Brown is going we will be like St. Mirren when they fell out with Alex Ferguson and lost him. I also think that we are the only club in the Premier League that would have let Stevie May go for as little money. Hamilton managed to get 1.2 Million 5 years ago for James McCarthy but he had signed a 3 year contract the year before.
After the Cup Final It seemed as if Tommy Wright and Stevie May were prepared to sign contract extensions, It sounded as if they would not be too hard to deal with and makes me wonder how little the wages increase offered to them was..
You have to trust your coaching staff and if you have a gem get him tied up on a long contract but unfortunately I do not think Stevie May was rated that highly until last season.
It seems that Steve Brown has now become more high profile than his father, in fact I do not remember in over 50 years of following Saints a Chairman being so controversial without sacking a manager.
There has to be a balance between business and football but at the moment it all seems to tipping towards business.
So come on Mr. Brown get Tommy Wright on an extended contract and give him the tools to do the job but most of all make him feel wanted by you and your board.

You're right. We should really just stop discussing things on here altogether.
Come to think of it, none of us appear to be professional footballers either, so I guess we're really not qualified to comment on that side of things either. Leave the football stuff to the players, you know?

Jings,Jings. You're a hard man to please. Tam would have needed to be a psychic to know where Miller was going to put that ball. -

Murray Davidson is ready to play again as of next week and the club are looking to tie him down on a longer term contract according to the Courier.
What a boost that will be, getting him back.

auld reekie saint reacted to Inchcolm in Let Us Remember Them
Today is the anniversary of us entering World War I let us take time to remember our players who went off to do their duty and never came back
John Cameron St Johnstone
Alexander Halkett, Dundee, Aberdeen, St Johnstone
Thomas Alexander Jackson, St Mirren, St Johnstone (Scottish International)
William MacPherson St Johnstone
David McWalter, St Johnstone
Herbert Murray, Clyde, Aberdeen, Queen’s Park, St Johnstone, Motherwell
Bertram Sampson, St Johnstone
Charles Scott, Rangers, St Johnstone
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
If I have missed anyone please add them to the list

Steve Brown's brought all this on himself. He hasn't managed Tommy Wright or the fans well at all, and just managed to piss everyone right off.
It's not just refusing to sign anyone but also by the manner he's gone about it and the ill feeling that's created.
