Think it was The Central bar.

Thinking about this again, the Vic might have been the Tilted Glass.

We used to drink in the Clachan at dinnertime, about 1979-80, Methven Street. Worked at the big site there, Queens Barracks putting a load of houses up. Then John Moirs Bar, then the Club Bar down a back street from the Clachan. Circa 1979.
