Really hard to pick a team for this one. I'm going to assume that both Wright and the two Davidsons are available to play on Saturday. My team would be as follows although there is no chance that Del will go with the same side. I would expect Craig, Sheridan and McCracken to be in for Andrson, Gibson and Haber.

Enkelman

MacKay-Anderson-Wright-Davidson

Adams-Morris-Davidson-Gibson

Haber-Sandaza

What do points make?

Prizes!!!!

Anyway, back to the game!

I'd be tempted to go with the same starting 11 as Celtic. United have pace and power on the wings, so we would counter that potential to counter and this is the one side that Anderson really can't cope with in the SPL. 4 bookings in 2 games at Tannadice last season, although some of them came from daft tackles on Goodwillie.

Sheridan and Sandaza are linking up really well just now and the likes of Craig deserve their spot in the team just now.

Score draw or better would be great in this one.

Regardless of Ando's naiveity it doesn't excuse the fact that Swanson is a cheating little scumbag and as many Saints as fans as possible should let the diving wee p**** know he is exacly that on Saturday an din all future games he plays in too.

At least we don't have to worry about Badfanny falling over his laces as well.

It really did make me laugh out loud during the recent Europen tie when Houston and other Arabs moaned about the Polish side diving and cheating. Coming from Houston that was almost a compliment as he has been setting his players out to do that since Levein left for the Scotland job and has had quite a few perfect the art. What's the betting Johnny Russell has now learnt to hit the deck in style.

United don't look a patch on last season, but looking forward to the game as our encounters always seem to be entertaining in one way or another.

The only players they have for us to worry about are Flood, Pernis and that guy out of "The Hills Have Eyes". I can see everything going through Willo The Wisp, so get Jamie to sort him out and we should comfortably do them for 2-0...

But tell me that guy who ran the main stand line at Tannadice last season won't be doing the same on Saturday.

You always know you've a good ane when the opposition single him out for individual treatment. Goodie is a better striker than any who have played for your team in my lifetime, and everywhere he went the opposition fans shrieked abuse at him, did wonders for his game....that's why he's now a millionaire playing in the richest league in the world! If the Swan can stay fit he will follow him. St Johnstone like every other club has had its share of divers, Jenkinson (a disgrace to the game) Kiegan Parker (toley of the first order), so no real substance in this holier than thou stance, or is this the usual Saints 'the ref was a disgrace' excuses in early mode?

We have lost 5 certain starters (Conway, Goodie, Bauben, Gomis, Severin) but we have added Rankin (impressed everyone so far) Flood and Gunning. We are still finding our feet but have more than enough to deal with St Johnstone....you used up 2 months worth of goals last night. :D

Have to beware of Uniteds pace players eg. Swanson, Scott Allan & Mackay-Stevens (if fit).

Pernis is still a bit suspect & has been carrying an injury for a while.

Here's hoping we get a Saints win to end a pretty good week. COYS!

It's with guys like him you don't look a patch on last season. Your standards must have dropped.

IF and its a big IF Bad fannie is a millionaire then goodluck to him but Mr Swanson will NOT follow him.He is an injury prone, bit part player at a struggling SPL side.......not a bad player but not top class.

Herts, lots of people expressed doubts about Rankin, but he has been a stand out for us so far....

Kilgour, in what way are we a 'struggling SPL side'? A 5th, 3rd, and 4th in each of the last season, and yes Swanson has had a run of injuries and a series of specialists have been trying to work it out, last I heard it was a lower back problem. I would be delighted if he remained at Tannadice as a cult hero who lit up games from the bench every week, but I would be gutted for him not to display his manifest talent at the highest level. I know you lot hate him cos he bested you dimwit CB, but really, just like Goodie you would love to have a talent such as his in your own ranks. Maybe one day, if say, he moves to the championship and it doesn't work out, and your chairman and manager take a chance on an injury prone player who we have moved on. That couldn't happen, could it?

As for Goodie being a millionairre, 200k signing on fee and 18k a week for 3 years, not including off field earnings...do the math, not my strong point, but I guess he is as good as a millionaire as soon as he has signed....utterly revolting but that the EPL

What's how much money Goodwillie is making, and some whataboutery over ex Saints cheaters, got to do with the statement that Goodwillie and Swanson are diving cheats? Surely you aren't deflecting to avoid confronting the ghastly truth?
