Seeing as most of the Turks are supposedly staying in Edinburgh, will they be in Perth by 1pm on the Thursday?

And who says most of them are staying in Edinburgh?? My information is that their charter flight fans are staying in a Perth hotel but this might be wrong?

If there are ESES staying in Edinburgh I would hope they will be in Perth before 1pm on match day.

Just noticed on other threads that Edinburgh was where most of them were staying. The team were originally to be staying in the Green hotel in Kinross, think that may have changed though.

Coming back from Edinburgh for this, any lifts going about?

I'm looking to head up mid afternoon. Think I'm staying in Perth overnight. Can give you a run up no problem and if you're staying over in Perth can drop you off back in Edinburgh the following day.

there will be plenty folk heading back straight after the game, I know most aren't leaving Edinburgh til after they finish work.

Great work Gordon - hoping the weather stays dry for the afternoon folk outside - great reaction so far from everyone.

Working till 4pm Thursday and as I'm involved on the Tulloch side of things with the other John then that's where I'll be heading - I think with it being a Home game and the amount of people that will be wanting to party then I'm hoping The Muirton Suite & The Tulloch are well busy.

bit of a kick in the stones for the Saints Club is it not? thought you guys would've had something arranged there?

I shouldnae bother replying but I will. The reason I decided against the Saints club ( a place I spend a good bit of my time and money and a place I like to support at every opportunity) is simply that it is (a) Indoors and (B) won't be big enough. Over the season we will be in Barossa Street plenty. Buses to every away game, home game, Comedy nights, quizzes and other functions. Ian does plenty well out of us and I know he would be the first to agree. There is nothing to stop you or anyone else popping in there and infact we have a bus leaving from there at 7.15pm for the game ( again giving the club more business)

I hope this helps you understand my thinking Eric:wink:

After a bit of leg work I have managed to organise two venues Pre-match this Thursday for a get together of Saints fans and any of our new ESES friends who have travelled to Perth for 2nd leg of our Europa League qualifier.

From 1pm, The Sportsters in central Perth( Outdoor area). Football colours allowed and actively encouraged. Flags, scarfs musical instruments also actively encouraged. If anyone knows any pipers, please ask em if they wanna come down. Lets make this a carnival atmoshpere and see if we can at least try to recreate what we had last week in Eskisehir.

The BBQ shack will be open, there will be music and at this point, even the weather seems to be co-operating.

To any ESES fans who will be here, if you need directions, please ask on here and I am sure we can get you there.

From 5.15pm The Muirton Suite at McDiarmid Park. I have organised with Sir Roddy for Saints to provide a shuttle bus which will pick-up from the Sportsters and take fans up to the ground where the club have readied the Muirtom Suite. The bus will just keep coming back until we have got everyone up to the ground. Food will be available and of course BEER will be available. There will also be a good selection of club merchandise for sale. This will give our new friends a chance to see the stadium before hand, and again, Flags , scarfs, football tops and musical instuments are actively encouraged. All the tables will be removed or pushed to the side to increase capacity and with a bit of luck, maybe a few "well kent" faces will make an appearance.

Given the commitment of the club over the Say No campaign, this is our first opportunity to give something back and everyone is urged to get into the MS and spend a bit.

So now it is over to you.. Do you want to PARTY???

Finally, after the game if you are still in Party mode, the Tulloch Institute is open and they have asked for as many as possible to head there after the game.

And when they chuck out, if your still feeling fit, there is always the City nightclub to finish the night off..

Please if you can , will you indicate if you are gonna attend ( so we have some idea of numbers). This will also be posted on FB so don't post there if you post here.

Lets make this a night to remember and who knows, in a weeks time we might be organising another Party to host Marseille:wink:

Cheers.

Ghostie..

Great work Ghostie, will be at Sporsters sometime on Thur PM.

Barossa St also open after the game and the bus is running as normal. Fans from both teams are very welcome.

Latest Update. I have managed to hopefully get a piece in tomorrow nights Evening Tully regarding this event and the match ( Thanks Jim Masson). Jim also hoping to pop round on Thursday and will be sending a snapper as well.PA also informed but I sadly missed the deadline with a letter I sent in, praising the ESES fans and the people of Eskisehir, the Saints officials and also the Saints fans who were a credit to their club and their country as well as giving on-line address for our FB pages. Now have at least one piper organised but don't stop there folks. Saints have also organised a pipe band for the match itself which is great. Please try and get this out to those people who do not use the internet as well guys. All looking good and thanks from both me and also Saints for your support in this event..

Cheers..

Ghostie.

When did that happen? Last I was told was to get a much music together as possible as it could become a long night and no pipe band was giong to be there..... Glad the downloads didn't cost too much unlike the CDs :?
