henryhallsdanceband
Clearly a manager of Chelsea needs to win everything every year. And Hughes on the brink - apparently refused to resign last night. QPR board waiting for Fernandez to give approval of £5m payoff before they kick him out. Scobby_SJFC
Shocking. He wins the champions league and FA cup then has a dip in form and is sacked
henryhallsdanceband
Shocking. He wins the champions league and FA cup then has a dip in form and is sacked a four week dip in form - not even over an extended period. Oops - did I hear 'Lomas Out' a week or two ago. blueheaven
Di Matteo for Scotland.
St. Paddy
Di Matteo for Scotland. Not a chance, but I would be happy with that. Was it him or someother chap with an Italian sounding name that was getting a call up for the Scotland squad about 15 years ago?

Cagey
After playing Hazard up front on his own last night he deserves to be sacked. Benito Kemble and MySpazz
babychunder
I feel a wee bit sorry for RDM. Stuck with that donkey Torres up front, that cant Abramovich for a gaffer, and wise guys like Terry and Lamps usurping him in the dressing room. Despite aw that the wee guy was cheery, smiling and confident right up to the end. On the other side of the coin, a EPL manager is well paid, making more in a week than most of us do in a year, and he'll get the rest of his two year contract paid out, whereas you and I would get nowt if we got the tin tack, so swings and roundabouts eh? rik2304
Be laughing all the way to the bank. Managers with more of a rep than RDM have been binned by Abramovich and bounced back.
MySpazz
Listen, Chelsea failed to win the Grand national - he had to go. Also, CHELSEA: 8 managers, 10 Trophies ARSENAL: 1 Manager, 0 Trophies TOTTENHAM: ....who gives a ////
henryhallsdanceband
Heard Graham Roberts commenting on this earlier - yes THAT Graham Roberts. He ereckons RDM had to go. Oh well. BTW - on Graham Roberts this is interesting in the context of today's 'racism in football' controversies. Roberts was sacked by Clyde in August 2006 after allegations he made racist remarks. An employment tribunal found that the allegations were "either highly exaggerated or possibly not true" and awarded Roberts £32,000 compensation for unfair dismissal MySpazz

SingaporeSaint
Cannot believ that eedjit Benetiz got the job regardless of the fact it is interim. He was always critical and dismissive of Chelsea when he was at Liverpool. Don't think the Chelsea faithful will be pleased with this appointment. I am certainley not MySpazz
candalan
Pep Guardiola will take over in the summer, on 15 million a year, benitez is just a stand-in.
ryangordon86
Piers Morgan would have been a more popular choice amongst the Chelsea fans
MySpazz
Was at the match today, and the place was extremely downbeat. Sacking Di Matteo effectively removed the feel-good fairytale of - against all odds - winning the Champions League (first London side to achieve this). Those fans down SW6 will not take to Rafa. No matter what happens. As much as i love matches at the bridge...those knuckle head fans (there are a few) are not the sort of bigots to change that tune!
