fazman1977 reacted to Lt Col Kojak Slaphead III for a topic
100% this is a committee decision (and when I say committee i think we all know that I mean a Morris Flood decision). The Club is a bloody shambles, its run by dinosaurs for dinosaurs. They are quite happy to run the place like its still the 1970's. In fact if you take a wander in there on a saturday night most of the people that still frequent it (that haven't already died off) are still sitting in the same seats that they would have occupied back in the 70's, and good luck to anybody that has the audicity to sit in one of those seats. And as for Fatty behind the bar, the least said about him the better. Arrogant tosser, which is quite a feat in itself when you look like he does. A t-shirt that fits would be a decent start for him.1 point -

Christmas Lights Switch On

My kids school has done a variety over the last few years ranging from the "traditional" nativity to updated versions such as Christmas with the Aliens. It's quite nice to see an updated version tbh. It was not stressed whether the said Aliens were illegal or not however.1 point -

I would make a formal complaint and ask to see the club constitution where it stipulates entry of <18's for functions. They were quite happy when the place was fuking MOBBED after the cup final and there was plenty money going over the bar. fukin arseholes1 point -

I have seen more football played in a game of amateur football, zero atmosphere, hardly anything to cheer about. A bad day when you clap more for the performance of your left back and keeper than anyone else.1 point -

Ibrox latest...
Nelly78 reacted to Smarmy Arab for a topic
Not sure what you are saying here Craig? Yes Rangers spent £12 million on TAF, and yes they went out of business...boo f*ckin hoo! David Murray spent 2 decades picking up loses from Ibrox...£10 million here, £20 million there, including a £50 million share issue which he had to rescue with 'his own money'. We have since discovered it was not his own money, indeed MIM had accrued an eye watering £800 million debt mountain, which the taxpayer had to bail out. That is before we get to the EBT's which will add another £50 million to the stack defrauded from HMRC.....and HMRC will win their appeal eventually. So 'in the end who is the biggest loser'? The fans who lost their club or the rest of us who have had to endure austerity cuts to vital local services and local authority jobs, cuts to education and provision for the elderly and vulnerable? You tell me Craig 'in the end who is the biggest loser'?1 point -

Lets deal ith your points one at a time saintgscot, I challenge you to produce evidence that any town/city have renamed Christmas 'so not to upset other religions'. The 'Winterville' tag was first used in Birmingham (in the 90's) and was proposed by Birmingham Chamber of Commerce to maximise commercial activity over the Nov/Dec/Jan.....sod all to do with 'upsetting other religions'. Unless you can provide evidence to the contrary? http://steveshark.wordpress.com/2009/11/22/winterval-its-a-myth-in-dundee/ Point 2......Midwinter festivals predate Christianity by centuries and most major religions have festivals when the days are shortest to mark the beginning of a new lunar cycle and indeed a new year, I have no issue with anyone marking either of these things.........you seem to be advocating banning Christmas for non Christians?1 point -
Weareperthbarossasaints Proposed Move
fazman1977 reacted to soupy76 for a topic
After tonights event at the club, i have lost faith in the place. Not unless something drastic happens and can turn around the dinosaurs that run it, and the licenses they apply for. First of all i know rules are rules, etc etc so dont shoot me down. The club took a booking for an under 12's football team and all was fine, the only clause was that 2 people had to be members or become members for the booking to go through ( 2 organisers of the team became members and booked it ) The night started at 7pm and by 7.20 there was a fair few children in the place. On several occasions i was told that by 9pm all the children running about had to either settle down and stop running about, or if they were on the dance floor they had to be dancing . ... Fair enough,,, children were told they had to calm down and that by 9pm they either sit on their arses or dance ... I was then told to make another announcement that no children were allowed on the dance floor unless accompanied by an adult - this was not long after 9pm. Once i told parent this, many came to me and said they were unhappy that this was the case, and left. Kids couldnt dance to the music they like because the parents werent on the dancefloor with them. How bad was that a kids presentation and they couldnt be on the dancefloor without an adult !!! When it was booked, none of these rules were stated... Gutted for the wee team and organisers1 point -

Whats The Atmosphere Like.....
fazman1977 reacted to craiginasaintsstrip for a topic
It maybe was a bit over the top but regardless I can't fathom what makes these types so angry. If you want to arrange 'Fight Club' style gatherings to enact violence on each other then go and do it away form the umbrella of it being part of 'football culture', that way it's not tarring the young men who simply want to turn up and watch a game of football. Thankfully football violence isn't anything like as prevalent now as the time before I started attending games but hearing old men reminiscing of times of treating a visit to the football as a cultural exchange of fists is quite depressing, you have to be a real primal simpleton to think that's anything but abhorrent behaviour.1 point -

If you have ever went to a football game with the intention of hooliganism, violence anti-police agendas or a pitch invasion then you are a retard who should be forcefully removed from the gene pool alongside any vile spawn you have sired in the process.1 point -
