Miguel Simao was an absolute gent today.
Normally ex players visit directors / hospitality etc brief appearance on touch line and that's it.
Miguel was at the Super J s, Main Stand, watched game from the East, happily posed for photos, chatted to folk, mover over nearer the FCU lads in second half, obviously enjoying his day.
In return he got a great reception.

Thats more like it. Well deserved and probably should have been more.
Was slightly concerned Dundee would score late and we would have to hang on, but other than one decent save from Clark they were never really in it.
Pity we don't play like that each week.

I find it worrying that the manager and players continue to come out with the 'overachieving' thing so much in interviews.  As fans we want them to be consistently good - and we have seen on many occasions over the last 4 seasons that they can play some good football and compete with anyone - but I really get the feeling now from the players and management that they don't think that is their level.
I always felt they group of players felt they could achieve things, and that seems to me to have gone completely in the last couple of months.
I'm not being a bed wetter or a panic merchant, I genuinely think our days of 'overachieving' are over, because of an acceptance that we have been 'overachieving'.

Despite the utter dross we have played recently, Saturday represents a real opportunity to almost draw a line under that and move forward
I also feel that if we win on Saturday, then going into the split in 4th once again looks a real possibility

With results this weekend, Hearts all over the place and having a tough run in, fourth really is there for the taking.
Come on Saints, come on fans. Big push forward, starting with 3 points v Dundee.

I think Peter Pawlett is the man Tommy has his focus on .. He's going to be out of Aberdeen this year and Saints will be in with a shout..Jo will play a part in getting him

Our "defending" of the Sevco third is cringe worthy.

The battles now for the top six, three teams below us (Partick, Dundee, Killie) are all within eight points of us. TW needs to realise this and sort us into some form of cohesive unit.

At least he talked about it as the past, as opposed to someone talking about the future.
A great manager and an utter gentleman.

Terrific strike last week, but if we are all being honest Chris is a mid-table Championship striker.

I don't know what is more embarrassing: the nonsense Tommy came out with about Rangers, getting beaten by a team managed by Lee McCulloch or the fact that Sammon scored!
Hope we get back to our real form at Ibrox on Wednesday.

    Happy birthday to the Saints.
On this date 50 years ago in front of a crowd of 3.500 at Muirton Park Saints recorded a 2-1 victory over Falkirk ( in the old Div.1 )
Saints lineup that day was Donaldson.  McCarry.  Coburn.  Townsend.  Rooney.  McPhee.  Clark.  Whitelaw.  Kilgannon.  Duffy.  Aitken.
The previous week was to be Manager Bobby Brown's last game in charge.
A similar scoreline against Killie would be a good birthday present.

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has indicated he would be interested in the Rangers job but insists such a scenario is "all hypothetical".
Wright, 53, has achieved three successive top-six finishes in the Premiership with Saints and led them to Scottish Cup glory in 2014.
Rangers parted company with former boss Mark Warburton earlier this month.
"I don't think there's anybody in a job or out of a job that wouldn't want to take that call," said Wright.
"Yeah, I would speak [if the call came in from Rangers] because it's a big club but it's all hypothetical

Just trying to keep bumping up interest in Saturday's important game against Killie.
Slightly off topic but worthy of mention is how our excellent our new pitch has stood up this year. I was always moaning about last years pitch and calling out the ground staff but they have performed admirably this year. I suspect with the weather over the next couple of days it is going to be really tested.
