Completely crazed. Mismanaged it (again). Singapore to London was managed properly, with Scots fans really segregated on different flights. airlines & governments really need to stamp that stuff out and can, but money talks. Had absolutely no qualms about paying a bit more for a flight if it meant I did not contribute to a major problem.

Papers saying we've set Kerrs price at £400k, and Rooney can leave for £300k. Interest in McCart too, who will likely be in the same bracket somewhere.
Middleton still training with Rangers and no decision made on his future yet, unlikely anything will happen until hes done pre-season with Rangers.

About 2075 now between East and Main, no idea on Ormond or padded and still weeks to go until season starts.
Will try and see how many didn’t renew once stadium plan updated.
Expect with padded and Ormond we should be over 2500 already.

I think it makes sense that clubs with an interest in our players would start off with low offers to see where it gets them. With players like Rooney, Kerr and McCann - if we end up losing all three then that's going to be of massive detriment to our team for next season, regardless of how much money we get for them. The club needs to be very wary of that.
Very excited about the prospect of Middleton coming back. I reckon he could be a future Scotland player (as long as he doesn't spend too much time at Saints, of course).

I sense the room is not with me on this one.
I would say, there is no way a team of 20 year olds will finish top of leagues with the likes of Cove Rangers and Patrick Thistle in it, full of seasoned, experienced hammer throwers. In fact, it’s more likely they will be regularly embarrassed, and more likely there will be headlines about some delicate 19 year old starlet chopped to pieces by a 35 year old hairy postie playing central defence for Auchinshuggly Rovers.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I've got no issue with OF loans, or loans from England as such. It's more about whether they're any good. I think some loanees are basically on the loan list because they have no realistic future with the club, are under contract, and being farmed out trims the wages. Especially clubs like the OF who have big reserve/youth squads.
Then there's the players who do, potentially, have a future and need game time.
McNamara and Middleton are 2 examples. In the squad, but more often than not warming the bench. It was a win/win with those two.
Too often in the past we've signed loan players and, admittedly it's pretty low risk if it doesn't work out. But sometimes fans get a bit excited about a player that was/is in a bigger club's youth setup.
Ideally you want to sign young loanees with a point to prove and are in the first squad. But those are pretty rare to get. Hopefully Saints have a fairly good relationship with Sevco, and I've no issue if they want to keep that going, get quality for 6 months or so.
But.... Saints have to be careful. You probably only want 2-3 loans per season so you keep squad unity. And it takes loanees time to fit a new system. Middleton took time. I know nothing about Kennedy, but if he's highly regarded and fills a requirement either as cover or for a start, then great.

I was going to ask this too. I have no idea what it actually means.
I'm all in favour of any recognition of Saints' achievement but what I really want to see is something permanent in the town that people can actually see. A statue. A mural. A plaque. Name something after the team. Anything along those lines. There was so much talk of this after the win in 2014 and as far as I can tell nothing happened. Is nothing going to happen this time too?

I’ve moved to the East Stand this year, with both kids. My old man also bought one today. Probably his first ST since we got relegated.

I suspect we’ll have a fair few new / lapsed ticket holders buying.

£3m + clauses I reckon. Midfielders generally  command a bigger fee than say, equivalent ability defenders. He's certainly worth more than Doig. He could of course sign an extension- which would be brilliant, but were he to go, Saints are in an interesting situation, because to a large extent our midfield depends on his mobility, distribution and winning midfield battles.
If we were to get £xyz, how much would Broon make available for transfers? Who could we afford on our wage structure? What is the ambition of the club? Disregarding the cup achievements, 5th in the league is an excellent season. Knowing Broonie as we all do, he knows Saints position- staying in the Premier, targeting top 6. We got 5th and still posted £2m negative cash flow- with cup runs. I suspect SB stated this figure so as to give fans a reality check that if McCann goes, don't expect "big" transfer fees.
If we got £2-3m for McCann, CD would be very lucky to get £500k- maybe £250k and that may be swallowed up in wages/ agent's fees. If you look at clubs such as Hibs, Dundee United, Motherwell, they've sold talent for decent money in the past- and not really achieved much on the back of it. Apart from relegation in 2 cases. I'd be happy for a decent % of any fee to be ploughed into attracting promising youths & their development (we have an excellent story now to show a career path) & continue our policy of balancing the books.
This is an incredibly challenging close season for CD, after all the euphoria & plaudits. We have to be realistic, it won't happen again. McCann, if sold, will hopefully go a long way to ensuring Saints remain viable for the next 5 years.

for me I went for Bryson I don’t think the guy lost possession once which kind of sucked the life out of Hibs.

Here's the qualification path, if it helps. Saints are in the "EL-Q3" box.

For me, it wasn't just winning the double yesterday.
I still remember Utds fans singing "you've never won f-all" at McDiarmid about 10 years ago. That rankled. Then 2014, the cup. Amazing, put that to rest. Then the league cup, which I admitedly was not particularly focused on until we beat Hibs in the Semi, then out of no-where, a final. That LC win was great. I thought "well, that's 2 cups now, shows the Scottish cup wasn't a one-off".
I also thought, "that's us done now. We've won everything realistically we can".
But there was still a nagging doubt.
That we hadn't beaten either of the Uglies on the way to lifting those cups. Somehow, the only real measure of achievement was not simply winning a cup, but knocking one of them out on the way to lifting them.
So, I still felt a bit like we'd won those cups by avoiding the toughest test- the OF. In the back of my head, for years to come, I could hear voices saying "yes, you won the cups, but other teams knocked out the OF".
So, it would take the gloss off them.
Then Ibrox. Against the team that would end up unbeaten in the league. It wasn't the nutty manner in which we won, but the future importance of it.
I was delighted- to knock out the H-ns at Ibrox, and in a crazy way. But I also thought that the victory meant we wouldn't lift the cup again, merely made the path massively easier for the remaining teams, to fall as others had done prior like Ross County, St.Mirren - beating the OF in the LC, but failing to lift the trophy.
Then yesterday- the double. Amazing. Simply amazing.
But that win at Ibrox makes it so very, very sweeter.
No-one can claim we fluked cup wins now, won by avoiding the OF. We have a double, and in achieving that, beat the Invincibles on the way.

It's hard to look at the game logically... The penalty miss, thought we were going to pay.... But then I thought, "Hibs aren't creating shit". We had easily the best chances, should've been 2-0, Hibs beaten fair and square.
