Edstar101
Just siting watching the Arsenal v Villa highlights....... I don't think that the person who takes the penalty, if the goalie saves it, should be allowed to score the rebound. They already had an advantage (free shot at goal) but, having missed it, get a good 6yard start on the defenders for the rebound. Thoughts on this or any other rules that you feel need changed
ex-montrosesaintee
Yeah, if a player makes a run from 6 yards onside when a free kick is struck against Celtic, it should be deemed onside. To be honest, it's quite rare that a keeper parries a penalty back to the kicker, it's usually another player who gets the rebound.
Blues Brother
Sorry but got to disagree! As soon as the penalty taker strikes the ball, then the play is live and any player should be able to touch the ball. More often than not the keeper will knock the ball wide. Are you suggesting that if the keeper saves the ball and it rebounds the game should be stopped and a goal kick be given? What if the keeper catches the ball? the mad referee
Please refer to the Fifa laws of the game Its all in there somewhere!!!

How do you get that from what I wrote I only think the penalty taker shouldn't be allowed to touch the ball first again if the keeper saves it....like if the ball comes back off the post without anybody else touching it at present
mainstand
As long as another player i.e. goalie touches it then he is okay. Obviously if it hits the post he can;t touch it again. As said it is rare for the taker to be the one that follows it up,
Scobby_SJFC
If a player is injured by a tackle the player involved in the clash from the other team should go off until injured player can continue
ejksjfc
I noticed something at the game yesterday: every time Toss Cunty took a kick-off they had three players in the centre circle my understanding of the rules was that the team taking kick-off were only allowed two

ejksjfc
OK thanks for that to be perfectly honest the more kick-offs the opposition get the better and they can have their whole team in there if they want as far as I am concerned uphallsaint

Saintdunc
Introduce a sin bin for those offences that might not quite merit a red or a second yellow.
Saintdunc
Enforce a further 10 yard penalty when a team fail to retreat when a free kick is being taken.
truefaith
I'd like to see a ban on obstruction - or impeding or whatever the rule is. Why is a defender allowed to shield a ball from an attacking player while it slowly rolls over the touch line. Actually obstruction at any time - corner kicks, free kicks - is a pain. The ghost of Jim Morton
Have snipers positioned on the roof of the main stand and when a referee makes a poor decision, shoot the ****er. Infact when the ref runs out on the pitch , just save time and shoot the ****er anyway.. Unless it's Craig Thompson or Willie Collum, who should be shot as soon as the get out of their cars... Mike
I like the rugby rule that only the captain of a team is allowed to approach the referee. Obviously everything else about rugby is horrendous but I'd like to see football adopt that one. The sin bin idea is veering a bit close to the World of American sports for my liking but it would be interesting to see it tried out in something like the League Cup to see how it works. Rugby apply the advantage rule a lot better than us. If a referee in football does it well, everyone is up in arms that he made a late decision
babychunder
I would like to scrap the offside rule. More goals, less playing it square across midfield, use all of the pitch, more open flowing football etc.
