Pat McGroin
How on earth can a flag not be political? Every single national flag is a political statement. All nations are political constructs, their flags are the main iconography of politics. A well timed flag can be a very powerful and meaningful statement. Flags, arguably, invoke so much more to people than any other items on the planet. Some swear allegiance to them; some spit on them, some burn them; some topple statues with them over their faces; some put them on their clothes, their cars, their buildings; the vast majority of human achievements have had a flag somewhere near by; some plant them in, on or around things to claim them; some design their own when they're kids; some use them to declare solidarity with others around the globe; some identify more with others because they identify with the same flag; we rally around them; we mark tragedy by flying them at half mast; we stick lots of little ones on string to show we're celebrating something; they invoke our history, our future, our victories and our loses. Silly little rectangle with a few lines and colours, invokes more to people than every single word deed or action that we'll ever do in our lives. Apart from the ones that have che Guevara on they just mean the owner is a t*** The flag isn't political as such, it is merely a representation of a nation/organisation in it's truest form. The interpretation of why the flag was on show could be perceived to be political but you'd never prove that someone waving a palestinian flag at a game of football was making a political statement without any other corresponding evidence in a court of law. An interpretation is only that.

PauloPerth
That greedy pig banner was one of the best and most app banners ever displayed. Fans of every club in Europe should display one. Not just over the celtic issue, more about how uefa's greed and pandering to the big clubs has ruined football. Is that not just for teams that make the group stages? Celtic will benefit from a cash windfall after Manchester City were fined £20m by Uefa's Financial Fair Play committee, with the money being dished out to clubs who reached the Champions League and Europa League group stages.
