Kilgour
While Brad Mackay still has some raw edges,my Hearts mates would have him playing but for the good form of Danny Wilson. One attribute he has that we dont is pace to go with his height. Inchcolm
MacLean was trying his best, but was chasing down and pressuring a defender who'd then simply pass it to one of the three other defenders standing in acres of space as nobody else was pressing with him, not sure how swapping Kane for MacLean would change anything. Once again the loan striker it does not work. You are correct swapping would not change anything but as a strike partner to support him would. The loan striker gives a back four all the time in the world. rk
sixties saintee
Was in and out yesterday did not expect to see the scores i saw at half time and full time, be interesting to hear what Tommy says, hopefully Ross will do a paxman as the fans deserve to hear how we can go from being so good one week to consistently bad the next. garydavidson
Partick took the piss out of our formation. Even with more men in the middle of the park we looked swamped. Every time we got one of our attacking players onto the ball he had his back to goal and the ball went backwards never to return forward. It wont have been easy on that pitch but ours is not much better. Partick wanted that far more than us, three terrible goals to lose but the third was a belter of a finish. RandomGuy
I still feel like we took too long to close Bannigan for the third, we seemed to just watch him control it and take aim before bothering to try and stop him. It happened with Stevenson two or three times aswell. garydavidson
ancientsaint
Tommy maybe needs a rocket up his arse!! Had it to easy as a manager. Bringing McFadden on after 55 mins is a joke! pretty sure one supporter had a meaningful chat with him at one point during the game yesterday -didnt help tho- at least we are safe from the drop or play off ( i hope)........Tour of Ireland anyone ?? ancientsaint
I didn`t mean swapping Kane for McLean. I would play them together with McLean in a 4-4-1-1 formation. prefer the 4-3-3 for games against clubs like Thistle. Have a go and if its not panning out then hey ho back to 442 AthensSaint and Kirriesaint

patsy
For anyone who was at the game how did scobbie and Swanson play? Don't think I've seen swansons name mentioned in anyone's match report

dave mc
Scobbie wasn't any worse than anyone else in the back four, but i'm sure it was Ando who lost his man for the first two,but need to see them again,
saintcraigieboy
Scobbie isn't a centre half. He has done ok when put in there but is very suspect in the air. Up against a big striker scobbie wins very little in the air. Inchcolm
dave mc
The same could be said about Ando, seen him get bullied by big centres regularly,Frazer is the only one we have that really gets to grips with the physical side of defending, although I think Scobbie is more than adequate at centre half,Ando gets a real easy ride for all his nightmare moments, something I've never understood tbh
RandomGuy
Scobbie was bullied very easily, and took too many touches instead of getting it out to Easton quicker when on the ball. As has been said though, the whole defence had a stinker. Swanson was busy, and was desperate to link up with someone, but too often we had so few players forward he ended up getting over crowded and losing it. THE LARK SAINT
Swansong was no bad. Defence were murder polis. You could blame Midge and Ando as much for the goals as anyone. Broon
5 times we've played a game after a gap of more than one week this season: 10 days: 0-3 (L) Partick (A). 13 days: 2-0 (W) Partick (H). 14 days: 2-1 (W) Ross County (H). 14 days: 1-2 (L) Kilmarnock (H) 14 days: 0-1 (L) Dundee (H). All of those games were winnable, 4 at home and yet we managed 6 points out of 18. 3 of them have been shocking performances. I'm not sure if it relates to the break or our inconsistency this season in general but we've been guilty of throwing in dreadful performances after good ones this season (and last). Last season we managed to follow up scoring 4 goals with shipping 4 goals in consecutive games twice. Edited March 16, 2015 by Broon
