blueheaven
Off the back of the departures of Daal and McLaren, I was just wondering... can anyone come up with examples of any players who were crap here and disliked by pretty much everyone, but went on to be successes elsewhere and prove us all wrong after being punted? I'm struggling to think of many - although there's always Sammy "Useless" Youssouf, who went on to become a regular starter for Maritmo in the top division in Portugal for a while. God knows where he is now though - last I heard of him was last season when he signed for QPR for a few months and then got released. TheBigCheese
Bobby Mann wasn't brilliant here but went on to have a pretty good career. Similarly David Bingham but I don't think he was that crap when he was here.

Im sure i searched for him on Football Manager a few months back and found him lurking somewhere in Sweden
TheBigCheese
Ian Maxwell seems to be getting a game for the midden and I'm sure I heard him getting a man of the match on the radio the other week - he was honking when he was at Saints. OldPoster
Derek young, We should have offered him more than 6 months
Jimmy Wallace
Andy Millen. Absolute horse when he was at Muirton, yet he was still playing in the SPL for the midden aged 40 + last season.
Jings
Kenny McDonald had a good spell at Forfar. Did he not start with us first?
dave mc
Wait 'til Ryan Stevenson ends up at Aberdeen, and we'll see what we let go.Still think he should have been kept.
The Inspiration
Stephen Dobbie you always know he's gonna score against us mind you.. hes still guff.. not much of a success!
Brian Potter
Paul Hartley, average for us - outstanding at Hearts! Old form seems to have caught up with him now!
SJC
Paul Hartley was never average with us! He didn't get a game because of Sandy Clark's idiotic ideas. He was the best player in the division before Hearts signed him and he scored a 35 yard Albertz that season too. Don't forget the fact he's played in a team thats beaten France twice and AC Milan in the champions league either.
Al C
Derek young, We should have offered him more than 6 months Why? Distinctly average player, did nothing at Thistle and only ended up back at Aberdeen because Calderwood is a bafoon. Would take any of our current midfielders ahead of Young. Capital Saint
Andy Millen. Absolute horse when he was at Muirton, yet he was still playing in the SPL for the midden aged 40 + last season. When I saw the heading of this thread, Andy Millen is the guy who popped into my head immediatly. I was just saying the other week, he's the only guy I've heard being booed coming ON as a substitute. Guest Nairn Saint
Alan Smart ended up being involved in a large transfer deal or two down south after being shown the door at St Johnstone.

Tranmere Saintee
Smart was a Saintee?? Yes - he was released when he was about 17 or 18 I think - told he was too small and within a couple of months had sprouted!!

Chuck Norris
He was a good player at Watford Absolute horse at the High School though. As is often the case, there were far better players of that age, but they chose to do something more worthwhile (in their eyes) like going to university. Stanleylad
I trained at Muirton at the same time and there were far better players but he did grow to some size. I think we discovered ale women etc but his dad kept him on the straight and narrow. Used to enjoy if we played Letham Celtic and North Muirton were gubbing them I always got moved back fae midfield to hae a boot at him.
