    Taxi for Tommy?

Folk were moaning about the performances against Accies and Livingston after the break, so he can't really win. If he hadn't changed shape, he'd have been criticised too. Hearts played a back four, with Smith taking long throws, against Dundee a few days before they played us. The system we used was wrong on the day but, again, if he doesn't try to combat what he expects from them and we lose goals to them from set pieces or crosses again, he's criticised. Folk moan about not having a go at Celtic; you saw in the first 10 minutes of the second half yesterday what happens when you go 4-4-2 and press them. I was glad TW had a dig in his post-match interview about that. No manager gets it right all the time but thankfully we have one that does far more often than not. Also thankfully, most fans appreciate that I think and those that don't frankly wouldn't be happy with any manager we had, it's simply their (footballing perspective) nature.

  2. Who cares. Seriously. It's a joke. To take the OF games seriously is to think they are in the same league. They are not. One has 100M turnover v Saints 5m, and the other is bankrupt x 2, relying on dirty money in loans to sustain a ridiculous position in the league. Our team, our manager, our fans, our club are the real ****ing deal...................... MON THE SAINTS

  6. Nice bit of spin from Keown as much as anything else I think. Speaking to a Thistle fan I know, he suggests he was excellent during his loan spell when beside Liam Lindsay, which lead to Thistle paying a fee to bring him in permanently 18 months ago. After Lindsay left though, he looked lost and was a liability as Thistle ended up going down. He was initially allowed to leave last summer but I'm sure he renegotiated his contract and ended up staying on. He once again looked out of his depth - this time in the championship - and fell out of the team again. If we can get the player who initially rocked up into Scottish football then we're laughing and Kerr might just be the player to help him re-establish that form again. The one over the last 18 months just isn't good enough though. Fingers crossed we get the former and not the latter. It's all academic if Kerr and Shaughnessy stay fit. Unless we have some meaningless games towards the end of the season and Joe decides his future lies elsewhere, I doubt we'll see much of Keown this season.

  7. Not often this happens but I don't think anyone really deserves a vote. The whole team under performed and I don't think anyone stood out as being significantly better than the rest.

  8. I'm glad that 3 game stand against Celtic is over; we made a decent fist of things last weekend but playing a team with their resources in quick succession is brutal. If we are playing them again I hope it's the last game of the season when the league is won. Said earlier, lets regroup and get back to playing good football and playing with a bit more freedom; not ideal that we are at the other den of inequity this weekend.

  9. Celtic were unplayable today, we weren't at the races and got humped. It means we're out the cup, big deal, let's get things sorted out for the upcoming league games and aim for this top six.

  10. We are sore and looking for scapegoats/answers. Let's put things a bit in to perspective. We were well gubbed by a team with the financial clout to obtain players we can only dream about , on our budget. Spare a thought for the fans of the Once mighty Chelsea who conceded six.

    Murray Davidson

Muzz played against Motherwell, Livi, st Mirren, Hamilton, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock in that great run. He only missed the Hibs game during that spell.

Said it for years and often criticized for it. We all know what Davidson brings. He's at his best in a tight scrappy game, but and it's a big but, his central midfield partner is often left with a huge amount of work to do in order to keep possession and start attacking phases of play from deeper positions. Murray regularly is nowhere to be seen when centre-backs or full-backs need an option when they are put under pressure (a job Millar did so well for us.). I will never doubt his commitment to the cause and his willingness to put his body on the line for the club, but it's often been the case we play better football on the eye when we have a couple of central midfielders that are willing to attempt a possession football game. (Millar and Dunne the prime example.) I'd like to see us give the duo of either Callachan and Goss or Craig a run of games moving forward. Depending on the game I think Watt could be a good option in the 10 and then MOH playing on the last man upfront (in the position Tommy said he has been signed to play in).
