Same story as last season. Inability to score leaving us susceptible poor decisions by refs.

When the first quarter in is in look at the table, till then be optimistic…. it feels better!  CD will have learned a lot last season, more than the previous season that’s for sure!  Still 4 weeks of transfer window to go and plenty of time to pick up some gems when options for players narrow.

Saints did the right thing, I've worked for enough shitty employers who don't give a toss about their staff to appreciate those that do.  Opportunistic by Shamrock Rovers, but good bit of business for them. Cleary would have been nuts to turn them down.  He's a ****ing human being with a good reason to be back home,  and he always gave 100% in a Saints shirt.  The club is a disgrace just now for many reasons, but let's not criticise them for treating a human being with the respect and common decency he deserves.

The balance of our squad is an absolute mess. We've brought in too many old players who are just here for their last payday, we don't bring through any of our own young players, we're overloaded in the attacking midfield area, we've signed wingers for a system that doesn't use wingers, we've wasted money by chucking transfer fees at players who don't or can't play, and the manager has done nothing to address the three areas (goalkeeper, CDM and centre forward) that are absolutely critical to us making any sort of improvement. On top of that we've chucked long term contracts at guys like Considine, Bair and Crawford, and sent a promising striker out on loan for the whole season (why??).
For the squad to be in this state when our manager has been with us for over two years is just completely unacceptable. Our success as a club has been built on having a consistent spine of players who understand the club, want to be here, are in it for the long term and only need to be supplemented with a small number of transfers each year to keep things fresh. Davidson has completely destroyed that ethos and turned us into a collection of journeymen, has-beens, crocks and other fringe players who are nowhere near good enough for the level we're playing at.
The damage Davidson has done to what previous managers had built here could take years to fix, and he needs to be removed immediately before he makes things even worse.

Feel crap about this, I gave him the benefit of the doubt all last season but I now won’t be back until Davidson’s gone. Flame me for being not a “true fan” all you like, but fans need to vote with their feet now otherwise nowt will change.
