The Inspiration
Need to point out.. was Gary Irvine who headed the ball off the line. He saved our skin 2 or 3 times today, man of the match by far
StDuncM
5 point lead will do for me. I am happy with 0-0 considering the stuffing we had there earlier in the season.
garydavidson
irvine cleared off the line, man of the match for me for that alone. irvine was left with two at the back when we had a corner they broke irvine closed the ball down the guy passed it and irvine then ran to the line as main went out. donnellys shot was going in and irvine made a full stretch diving header to clear. loudest cheer of the day for that one. We should have been ahead in the first have played really well but the last 10 minutes or so of the half partick got back into it. we offered little in the second half. a draw is a fair result, and seems a lot better since everyone in the ground thought the pars had won. We had plenty of possession but never made any real chances. our defence were solid today though. glad the results went our way though. the ref was a bit inconsistent which is a common theme from this season really. CynicalSaintee
I wouldn't say dropping points to Partick is a bad day out at all, especially when you considered how it went last time. Adding to that the crap conditions, and the fact that Partick are third in the table, it wasn't a bad result. Would you be complaining if it was 2-2? As long as you don't concede, you only need one goal. Far worse than us drawing with Partick was Dunfermline drawing with Airdrie - at HOME. Beat them next week, and their title challenge falls to bits. Good day at work, and well done lads.
Dennistoun Saint
Pretty pleased with that, especially as it's another solid day for the defence. Sets things up nicely for next weekend.
pavel
Was it just wet and windy or was the pitch a mud bath as usual?
Saintly Child
Was it just wet and windy or was the pitch a mud bath as usual? Pitch was waterlogged and badly cut up. We played well as a team today the defence was solid as a rock in the first half and shaky in the 2nd. Standouts were the whole defence, thought Morris was poor as was Swankie, they just arent forceful enough. Jacko was a handful and it will come for the lad although he needs to shift some weight. Good point to get in poor conditions, shame it wasn't 3points. Good support through today, shame it was bloody freeeezzzing.
mainstand
I'll get in first Crap tactics and substitutions by Del:roll: Is that an imitation of anyone in particular tranmere :-) fair result in very poor conditions, with an absolute moron for a ref.
