Guest Mongy Max
No chance anyone in Scotland bar Celtic can afford his wages Also I think the ross county link is lazy journalism toward a bit of spice to our strained relationship with the dingles over jug lugs Edited April 28, 2013 by Mongy Max
cristo
I've looked at the twitter thing, seems NUFC are don't think he's progressed as well as his early promise led them to believe. One of our fans has tweeted that she is gutted he'll be off, and Mhedi has retweeted the message. The article mentions us, and says we won't be foolowing up any interest, however Ross County have shown interest. I believe he's on about 8k a week sio can see the stumbling block for Saints, but Ross County????? If we can't have him and he turned up playing for another spl team I'd be a tad hacked off. garydavidson, Wendy Saints and rammsteinally
ex-montrosesaintee
Newcastle are unlikely to know anything about Ross County. Saints have probably said that they can't afford £8k a week, and RC have probably enquired with no concept if his current salary. I really don't think you can read much into the article except that Saints can't afford 8k a week for a player, which we all know, and that RC, and Derek Adams are pricks. Wendy Saints
Think his contribution has been immense.....for the short spell that we have had him he has certainly made a difference. Luv his directness.....we really missed that yesterday after he went off..... Pat on the back Lomas....another good connection....Abeid has more class in his wee pinky than Brittain(nae neck) has in whole body!!! fergiefootball and Born2Bru
rik2304
Right now he would struggle to get a similar offer from another team as insanely profligate as Newcastle....well mibees Sevco....but he might be happy at McD with the offer of regular football. cristo
I'd love to think so Rik, but our best hope is if Newcastle have a change of heart, keep him on their books and continue to pay him 8k a week to play for us for another season. Other than that I don't honestly think he'll be seen in the spl anymore, maybe a top championship team or possibly back to French football

I like the lad as a footballer ,but what has he done for saints or newcastle to get that sort of money, not enough in my book. Totally agree....as much as he is a decent talent, let's not fool ourselves that he should be getting that amount of money for kicking a ball
ex-montrosesaintee
I wonder if he has done enough in the spotlight to secure a deal anywhere else? Center Half
I would have made him pay to get in. I was a bit surprised the way he and his wife were escorted into the directors box , although there was a rumour going around that his wife was verbely abused last week about her son credibility, so mabey the club was given them a free be as an apology. rik2304
Played superbly yesterday up till his injury. It would be a real shame if thats him finished. Hopefully see him back in the team before the end of the season and, even better, next season. Coltrane
St Mikey
If he is released by Newcastle and becomes a free agent then anyone can sign him. He has no contract so what he earned before doesn't matter. With regards budget I would've thought we could only offer a max of £2k per week and thats even at a push. He's taken a little while to get used to the pace of our game but was very good yesterday and if we have a chance to sign him then we should as I'd rather have him as a replacement for Muzz than that cnut Brittain. Fatmanscoop
=============================================== Marcus Haber came to us from West Brom. His situation was a bit different. He wouldn't have commanded the same salary given he was coming out of a country with very little footballing pedigree. Abeid was rated as a talent at Lens, a club with a decent track record when it comes to producing youngsters.
