Hellish performance.I didn't think it was hellish overall but he spoke for 2 minutes on Syria without saying anything. Knowing the Syria vote was to be discussed they really should have had Angus Robertson on has he provided the real voice of opposition in the HoC on this matter with Cameron unsurprisingly failing to answer his questions. That "comedian" was hopeless as well. The program as a whole is poor nowadays, very much the reserves playing these days with rare appearances from old pros like Ken Clarke, Roy Hattersley et al Edited November 27, 2015 by myDarlingBeefeater

Gussie
I dont think we should have been so surprised. This is the bloke who blamed beavers for the flooding in Alyth. myDarlingBeefeater
Center Half
If you want entertainment on political discussions there is only one person to go to George Galloway I am not saying I agree wee Geordie but he can certainly tie most politicians and reporters in knots he is great entertainment IMO.  Bruno Strasser and rickardo

AthensSaint
Someone from Perth calling someone else a teuchtar........feckin priceless!A teuchter is someone who lives north of you. Blairgowrie might be teuchters in relation to Perth but Aberdeen is way sheep land. Shetlands and Orkneys and then Fair Isles...it never stops, Â Â Â Â
Tranmere Saintee
Is a teuchter not a term for somebody from the Highlands?
Abernethy Saint
It was originally a contemptuous term used by lowland Scots about Highland Scots to show their contempt for folk who they regarded as less sophisticated and more Catholic than them. I couldn't paste the wiki definition, I'm sure you can look it up. In modern times, it's a routine mildly offensive term for country folk in general, which generally does t cause that much offence. The original poster who used the term seems to feel Pete Wishart is also a male prostitute, which might have confused matters.
andy rhodes fancy watch
Pete Wishart has no charisma, don't know if he's overly intelligent but having charismatic charm is a big part of politics. He hosted the independence discussion in the Sally and was basically Alex Salmonds warm up. He stumbled and stuttered  through what he had to say. Now like or loathe Alex Salmond he has in abundance what Pete Wishart hasn't.
babychunder
Donnie Munro's fae Uig so clearly a teuchter. Abernethy Saint
He was born in Dumfermline, a considerably less teuchtary place than Perth, surely?i'll give you Uig, though.

Fair Man 67
Have to say that Pete was nae worse than many of the clowns that are often on question time. A "Teuchter" is nothing to do wi' how far North you live. It's how little cosmopolitan the area that you live in is. Ie; hinterland, rural etc. Hence ,Perth, fine a city though it is & it truly is, far more sheepyville than Aberdeen. But hey! As long as you look after them tenderly boys.
