blueheaven
Is this your own prediction or something you've seen calculated somewhere? I'll be pretty surprised if St Mirren make it up to 4th, or United make it up 10th. Born2Bru

THE LARK SAINT
I think we will get at least 2 or 3 wins . taking our points before the split Taking us somewhere between 39 and 42 points

blueheaven
Too much time on my hands this morning so here's a very unscientific stab at a pre-split prediction: Hearts v Saints - Draw Livi v Hibs - Draw Rangers v Killie - Rangers win Ross County v Motherwell - Ross County win Dundee United v Aberdeen - Aberdeen win St Mirren v Celtic - Celtic win Celtic v Hearts - Celtic win Hibs v Rangers - draw Livi v Dundee United - Livi win Motherwell v Rangers - Rangers win Aberdeen v Hearts - Hearts win Celtic v Hibs - Celtic win Dundee United v St Mirren - draw Killie v Saints - Draw Livi v Ross County - Livi win Hibs v Motherwell - Draw Killie v Hearts - Hearts win Rangers v Dundee United - Rangers win Saints v Aberdeen - Aberdeen win St Mirren v Livi - Draw Ross County v Celtic - Celtic win Celtic v Rangers - Celtic win Aberdeen v Killie - Aberdeen win Hearts v St Mirren - Hearts win Motherwell v Livi - Draw Saints v Ross County - Saints win Dundee United v Hibs - Hibs win Hibs v Hearts - Hibs win Killie v Celtic - Celtic win Livi v Saints - Saints win Motherwell v Dundee United - Draw Rangers v St Mirren - Rangers win Ross County v Aberdeen - Draw Aberdeen v Rangers - Draw Celtic v Motherwell - Celtic win Dundee United v Livi - United win Hearts v Ross County - Draw Saints v Hibs - Draw St Mirren v Killie - St Mirren win That would leave the pre-split table looking like: Celtic - 94 points Rangers - 78 points Hearts - 53 points Hibs - 47 points Aberdeen - 46 points Livingston - 44 points ------ St Mirren - 42 points Saints - 40 points Motherwell - 30 points Ross County - 29 points Kilmarnock - 25 points Dundee United - 25 points In the above scenario Saints pick up 9 points from six games before the split but would still miss out. pezza70
Steve McQueen
I actually think it could be a mistake to get top 6 (unless we somehow qualify for Europe), chance of 5 defeats in a row & then a poor league cup group could put pressure on to start the season again. I’ve heard it all…. Think I’d be more concerned about banking the prize money for finishing higher in the league. Think I’d be more concerned with banking the money from big away supports. Also much easier to get contracts for our players tied up if we are secured top flight. Also much easier to attract new signings if we are a top six team. Interestingly, just one different result for saints would put us in top six, our home game v Aberdeen where you predicted a defeat. A reverse of that result would mean 12 points from 6 games, not impossible, we’ve done similar before. Hypothetical, but a fun exercise nonetheless. blueheaven

Cagey
Top 6 is gone for us. Fight for 6 th between St Mirren and Livi. I think St mirren will make it. We are due 3 home games after the split which should be 3 from Motherwell , Killie , Dundee United and Livi if they are in bottom 6. Hope we have secured our place in league before the split as we are crap at home .

I really want St Mirren to miss out, purely because I find it quite enjoyable that they've never made Top 6 since the split was introduced. In fact they haven't finished above 7th in the top division since 1985, which I just bloody love. dave mc and andy rhodes fancy watch 1

Cagey
I think Killie's home form will save them , leaving it between United & County but if County beat us next week we will be drawn into it.

Definitely don't think we're safe yet. Things look bleak for United but I think Killie and County both have it in them to start breathing down our necks. Our form is really really poor at the moment and I can see us heading towards a very nervy end to the season if we don't start getting a few wins under our belts. What we've seen all season from Saints has just been nowhere near good enough.
