  4. Is there any chance that he is not naming the player because he might be playing against us tomorrow night and he does not want to put that pressure on him? Mr Templeton??

I wonder if Stevie G believed Kings bullshit. King is going to give him £6 million of his own money for new players. Lucky if that would cover the wages of those top players they are getting. Has he actually put any of his own money in yet ? No external investors yet. Still due £11.5 million to buy back shares. Director that left after 4 months gave them a £6.5 million loan. Would imagine he would want that back. I am sure there are a lot of soft loans out there as well. Must be hoping to sell a lot of Gerrard is god strips.

  9. Just because Random can be a bit dramatic, uses football manager to scout players and seems to upset a few on here, it does not mean he doesn't know who we're signing. I'd certainly trust anything he says more than some of the drivel you have spouted on occasion on here. Random does know who we're signing by the way.

  15. It looks like there is a possibility of signing Williams but would think we could only get Willock on another loan. Fingers crossed as they look like players.

  18. No idea if it's possible but I would be delighted with a midfield 3 of Davidson, Wotherspoon and Willock next season. The more I see Willock the more I like him. Quick, strong, skilful and those legs get everywhere. I thought he was rubbish when he first came in but he's developed massively in his time here. Would he a great signing and let's face it, he's not displacing Pogba any time soon. Williams also has ability but I think Willock has more potential. Would be happy with either.

  23. Unfortunately I think this post says a lot about why people are annoyed in the first place - there's a real feeling of this being a tickets-for-yer-mates scenario and the fact that you managed to get five tickets for something that most people didn't even know about, and that you're clearly on good/friendly terms with one of the committee, doesn't really come across very well. Rightly or wrongly, I think there's a real impression with a lot of these off-the-field events that you need to be in an "in crowd", or be mates with the right people, in order to be involved or attend. That's a real shame when you consider how popular a player Chris Millar is for us and I think a lot of Saints fans would like to feel that they at least have the same fair chance of getting tickets for events that everyone else does, even if the venue is small. I know how much unpaid and thankless work goes into organising stuff like this and I'm not taking a pop at anyone - and I know fans will always have a moan regardless of what happens - but at the same time I think there have to be lessons learned from things like this.

  24. Football career at our level is a short one. Most guys have never done another job or have good qualifications. Anyone that manages 10 years at one club deserves any additional reward they get from their fans.

  25. Spot on, sounds like somebody decided to have a jolly for the committee and a few pals, they may as well throw in the player of the year awards at the same time so long as the players don't mind not being there!!

  26. Thanks. Seems bizarre that they would hold the event in such a small venue. I'm sure they could have used a much bigger venue and allowed the wider support an opportunity to purchase tickets for an event which I'm sure would appeal to many.
