ryangordon86
Disgusting really. Comments on the BBC website are laughable. Dee fans moaning about results. Maybe that's something to do with them getting horsed in the Div1 title race and having a team nowhere near good enough to compete in the SPL. The guy was given less than a couple of days to prepare for SPL football. What do they expect? Lelsascerma
Jimmy Wallace
It has now happened Jimmy. or maybe it just took ten days for the press to find out, or maybe Bazza superglued his nipples to the home dugout/bus-shelter thingy HOODLUM65
Gort
No mercy in football, results matter. United did the same with Brewster, won the cup for them but axed without mercy because he was taking them down. Who for the hotseat in the biggets job in Tayside football ? rik2304
The ONLY man for the job is Simon Stainrod or maybe Dusan Vrto.
ryangordon86
Has to be Jocky. More to the point, who would want it? You'll end up with a has-been that can't get anything else. Jeffries, Jimmy C?
Smarmy Arab
is Dave Smith still alive? 'There's a circus in the town, in the town'
RandomGuy
Feel sorry for Smith. He's clearly a nice guy you could talk about Football with for hours, and he clearly loves Dundee FC so he was probably heartbroken. But he's not a manager, and he clearly has no contacts out of Scotland going by some of his signings. Think it'll be either Jocky Scott or Ray McKinnon

RandomGuy
I will laugh my c*ck off if it's Jocky Fritzel Would it be that surprising to see him get the job until the end of the season, seems plausible to me! I think the phenomenal run he went on when he was appointed with a handful of players says otherwise 3 years ago now? It's a common theme when defending Smith, but that Dundee squad were under perfoming anyway. They still had Griffiths, Harkins and Forsyth at that time too
Cagey
Perma tan has said he would be interested. No wonder, the guy is desperate for a job,any job.

They still had Griffiths, Harkins and Forsyth at that time too He finished 2nd last season to a very decent Ross County side. That's hardly a failure. Dunfermline got roundly horsed last year after earning their promotion. Dundee didn't even do that. They have a squad that probably wouldn't have won them the first this year. I'm not too sure what people were expecting.

rik2304
Surely any new manager can only start planning for next season now. Smith should at least have been given another shot at earning promotion.

Gort
Levein mentioned, what has this guy done. Did zilch at Tanny, made Scotland a laughing stock. Probably a shoe-in then.

Edstar101
Heard rumours, from several people that Jody Morris is set to take over at Dens................ouch! Would be a strange one...but wouldn't bother me as I don't think he will be a great manager...certainly not straight away in his first appointment
Gort
Heard rumours, from several people that Jody Morris is set to take over at Dens................ouch! Sure it's not Johnny Morris from Animal Magic. Latest of 500 rumours is Owen Coyle, Mr.Bennett who left Tanny last week will be funding it. ryangordon86
If Morris was to apply for any job, surely the Partick Thistle job is a better option than Dundee. Levein managed consistant top 6 spots Gortie, something your mob struggled with despite running up £20M of debt trying
