sjfcsteve
It's times like these that make you appreciate what a great job Geoff Brown has done with Saints. While we my well be relegated back to the first in the years to come, if Steve continues with his fathers way then we will always have a club to support and every once in a while we will hit a purple patch and get some success. European football two years in a row is a great achievement and one that has only happened because we run the club sustainably.
ex-montrosesaintee
And we will never suffer the embarrassment of being labelled as cheats by other fans, or knowing that we had an adverse impact on local businesses and service providers. jhq
sixties saintee
Wonder how much interest Wonga will be charging hearts, if they dont pay up there will be multiple raids on the bank account

Edstar101
They have just made Sutton redundant I hope we don't go for him. The Hearts fans I know didn't rate him at all. Was okay if the ball arrived directly at him, but about as mobile as an oil tanker

Edstar101
Sutton going to 'well, which would suit him if he actually was an oil tanker! Sutton for Higgie is a poor replacement for their team.

Not sure, but possibly one of those cases where Hearts were overstretching their budget, regardless if they were paying all or even just part of his wage

I don't really mind Sutton - wouldn't be an exciting signing but much worse than Tade? Not convinced. Looks like he's Motherwell bound anyway. Sutton is immobile, but if the ball comes to him in the right place, he knows how to finish

St Mikey
Danny Wilson gets to sign as the SPFL claiming that as he was registered as a player on loan before the transfer embargo then he can sign for them permanently. Talk about changjng the feckin goal posts. Cheating is what it is. His loan registration will be for the duration of that loan, not permanent transfer. Obvious Hearts have been dodgy for the last 3 years at least, failing to pay wages and signing players on bog roll contracts. Talk about giving them aaa dive helping hand. Our footballing authorities are pish and corrupt. I hope hearts go bust, living outwith their means for decades. sixties saintee

MrBored
Its got to stick in throat of those made redundant that the club go out and spend a wage on someone like Wilson. I'd imagine his wages are the equivalent of two or three normal staff.
HOODLUM65
Obviously "employment law" does not apply to football. Unless the law has changed recently, it was a case that if you were made redundant, your employer could not advertise your "position" and then take on someone to replace you. Yes, the guys who were punted should have a grievance .

HOODLUM65
He was actually employed by Liverpool FC.===================================You're dead right there T.S. His permanent contract was with them.Doubt if an appeal against fielding an illegally registered player in the coming season would be successful, with the crowd we're likely to have running Scottish football. Jamie_Beatson
His contract was with Liverpool but his football registration was with Hearts. That's what it comes down to. He was registered as a hearts player with the SPL, so they can re register him, it's not a new registration, which is what they're blocked from doing. Still morally dubious, however.
