rik2304
Even if there is a slight chance that the club could be fined for pyro or pitch invading its not worth the risk.
rik2304
Was the United match on tv? Uefa probably only hammer clubs when there is tv pictures.

MrBored
The big difference between the Utd one and ours was that the lad at Utd came on during the game did he not? I suspect that is where the problem was. I noticed above someone saying that our support are quick to be on the case of the 'young crew'. To be honest there was a fair amount of those on the pitch the other night who can't be described as 'young'. While it was all done in a 'well meaning' way, it is asking for trouble. Kyle
it was all that Tam Scobie's fault for getting over excited and celebrating with the crowd. He should be sacked IMO.
AthensSaint
It probably doesnt help our case when our own fans are so "vocal" in suggesting we will of course get a UEFA fine. Hopefully lesson learnt by the "do-gooders". The young dudes also need to learn that one day they will over step the mark. Europe and SPFL are a different beast. croc
garydavidson
it was all that Tam Scobie's fault for getting over excited and celebrating with the crowd. It was actually Stevie MacLean that dragged him into the crowd, Tam was behaving by staying on the pitch area Edited July 30, 2014 by garydavidson wee john
PerthSeany
It was actually Stevie MacLean that dragged him into the crowd, Tam was behaving by staying on the pitch area Haha I was speaking to Macca in Luzern and he did tell a few of us if he scored and hadn't been booked he would jump into the fans in the east stand. Since he didn't score he thought I'll push Tam in instead! croc

jazzsaint
Nobody has taken me on in the other thread about my golf comment so Ill try here instead. What was handed to the referee by one of there players before the first half free kick?
garydavidson
I am not too sure but he seemed to have dropped some stuff, may have been his spare whistle as one of their players had to give him back a yellow card not long after that. jazzsaint
It looked fluorescent orange to me from where I was sitting, hence thinking golf ball.
MrBored
Didnt see anything like that being thrown. Bog roll, some of the flags but nothing else.
Abernethy Saint
Pretty sure the ref dropped something. Delegate was showing a lot of interest in the young team. Might have been the flag. The police spoke to the guy waving it, it came down but re-appeared later. You're not allowed anything "political" at UEFA games - whether UEFA will bother about this I don't know. I'm pretty on the fence on this issue so this is offered as info, not any kind of political view on my part.
mainstand
I thought it was his red card. Cant see how it was a gold ball as it flat from what I could see.
jazzsaint
didn't look like a card tbh as he carried it in his fist as the free kick was being taken. If it was a card he would have put it back in his pocket. After that I noticed the hi viz vest brigade start hovering in front of the young lads. I hope it was nothing though.
