saintscotty
BBC Scotland can exclusively reveal that they are proud to ignore our next home match at Muirton Park. akuram and The ghost of Jim Morton
rik2304
BBC Sport Scotland can exclusively reveal that ex Rangers player Peter MacDonald scored a hatrick for St Johnstone.St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright, a boyhood fan of Glasgow Rangers was particularly pleased with his overall performance. BBC Sport Scotland would like to apologise. It was ex Rangers player Steven MacLean who scored for St Johnstone not ex Rangers player Peter MacDonaldWATP. south inch
They still refer to teams losing at (not to) St Johnstone which suggests the sods don't really know where we play. The ghost of Jim Morton and dunkeldneil
PauloPerth
2 weeks ago we were lucky to only get beaten 3-1 at Parkhead, as according to Pat Bonner Alan McMannus was in goal for us the whole of the first half!! auld reekie saint
Pat McGroin
They still refer to teams losing at (not to) St Johnstone which suggests the sods don't really know where we play.I think that's correct though. You would describe hearts winning a derby at Easter Rd as Hearts winning away at Hibs, not winning away in Leith.
south inch
I think that's correct though. You would describe hearts winning a derby at Easter Rd as Hearts winning away at Hibs, not winning away in Leith. My old english teacher (a dragon with a heart of gold called Miss MacAllister) would spin in her grave. Hibs are a team (well so they say), you win against a team but win in or at a place. I suppose you could argue that the grammer used on Sportscene is so bad (Griffiths has went off and Commons has came on) that they don't know the difference and a lot of teams have the same name as the town they play in but I'm not prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. Pat McGroin
I would say you win at St Johnstone (implying at their ground) or you win in Perth.
Dave Ferg
I corrected John Barnes on BBC Radio Scotland a few weeks ago after he announced that Stevie Banks had left Dundee United to take up a goalkeeping coaching position at Blackpool!Such nonsense! Pelosi
Are we really surprised by BBC Sport Scotland or the Scottish football media in general? Most have more than an interest in either Celtic or Rangers and report on matches or incidents as fans of these teams.Even the ex players used as pundits are predominantly ex Celtic or Rangers and therefore most find it impossible to give their unbiased opinion. While it would be difficult to remember every player and their history with present or previous clubs, they could at least attempt to put some homework into the punditry or reporting they are most generously rewarded for, instead we get a seasons worth of embarrassing inaccuracies when covering anyone other than the so called big two! I agree with your interpretation but then I accept you know what you are talking about. The implication is the key factor.PS "lost at St Johnstone sounds even better"
Gussie
You know what, I dont think most of those eejits at BBC Scotland know what city St Johnstone actually play!Like the polis, if its no frae Glesgae..then its not important and so facts dont needs to be checked.
