Malaysia can be added to the list and, having attended August losses to Celtic at home and Accies away, October loss at home to Killie and finally December home wins against ICT & Dundee Utd., I would vote :- 1. Midge 2. Mannus 3. Wright If I might add, anyone should know themselves if they support the team as best they can considering their location, financial & other circumstances. Perhaps the biggest issue facing Saints now is that too many people living in & near Perth sadly do not. COYS !

  3. The point I was going to make. I think every player should be treated individually. The guys record warrants attention. I find it funny when someone states an opinion such as English lower league players are not good enough and then lists guys that have failed- there will always be a list of players that were a success. I don't care if a player comes from the Azerbijan 3rd division or the youth team of Real Madrid- it's what he does once at the club I will judge him on.

  6. This is the vote for the We Are Perth Young Player of the Year 2014/15 award, which will be presented at the awards night next month. I’ve been asked to start this thread by Ghostie and the poll will be open until midnight on Friday 1 May and as with the last four seasons, the award will go to a player who was eligible to fill what was formerly one of the required U21 spots on the bench this season, i.e. born in 1993 or later. The following players are up for consideration: Liam Caddis (Midfielder) – Heavily involved in the early season European ties, Caddis has gone on to make 17 appearances for the first team this season. Scott Brown (Midfielder) – Another young player to feature in the European campaign, the form of Chris Millar in particular has restricted Brown’s involvement but he’s still clocked up a dozen appearances in his second season in Perth. Chris Kane (Forward) – Although retained to see Saints through the opening weeks of the season, boss Tommy Wright felt Kane’s development was best aided by another loan spell at Dumbarton and the 20-year-old spent four months with the Championship side, netting five goals in eight starts before returning to McDiarmid Park in January. Such was the impact made on his return, he picked up the SPFL Young Player of the Month award for January. Mark Hurst (Goalkeeper) – After winning international recognition at U19 level last season, this term saw Hurst selected for the Scotland U21 squad that faced Hungary last month. Craig Thomson (Midfielder) – Given a taste of first team action with Saints late last season, this campaign has seen Thomson gain far more with a loan spell at Elgin City, where he has played his part in lifting the League Two club from the bottom of the league into play-off contention. Ally Gilchrist (Defender) – An early loan signing by Jim Weir at Elgin City, Gilchrist has, like Craig Thomson, played a big part in the Borough Briggs club’s resurgence. The 20-year-old has also proved a goal threat, netting three times during his spell in the north. Dylan Easton (Midfielder) – The mercurial Easton has enjoyed a couple of loan spells this season as he bids to gain the experience that will see him earn his opportunity in the Saints first team. A month at Arbroath has been followed by a longer spell with Dumbarton, where he has helped the Sons secure their Championship status. George Hunter (Forward) – A prolific scorer with former club Spartans, Hunter arrived at McDiarmid Park in January and has found goals just as easy to come by with the Saints Development side, netting six goals in eight appearances before picking up an injury last month. Jordan Millar (Goalkeeper) – Signed from Hearts last summer, Millar was immediately farmed out to East Fife on a development loan, where he would sit on the bench for the Methil club but could still feature for Saints at U20 level. The stopper has forced his way into the East Fife team in recent weeks though, recording four clean sheets in his nine appearances.

  12. Why is everyone concentrating on 4th place, if we beat Dundee tomorrow, ICT next week Utd on the 9th and Utd v ICT is a draw 3rd will be within striking distance with 2 games to play. There is no part of the scenario I have mentioned that is outrageous (apart from us winning 3 in a row). It should also be remembered Caleys minds may well be on the cup so their league form could dip.

Haven't seen it but I presume this must have been a really difficult chance with 10 defenders between him and the goal for the Messiah Lavery to have not scored!!

Rotherham have been deducted 3 points by the Football League for fieidling an ineligble player. They are now 1 point above the relegation places with 2 games left to play. Considering all the shite we had to put up with from their fans last summer, I would LOVE IT if that fat mess Steve Evans took them down. #goingplaces

On the contrary, he merely adds to the already shameful state of governance which applies to Scottish football. Indeed I would say he is well placed and wouldn't stand out at all amongst those who remain firmly in charge no matter how much of a pigs ear they make of running the game. But remember... the clubs themselves appear to be unperturbed by any of this. It's only when something happens to their own club that they are forced to raise their head above the parapet. Until they all unite against this unsatisfactory state of affairs the chaos will continue.
