soulfulsaint
This is great news if confirmed by club. Also hear Dave McKay talks progressing too. john1962, Kyle and Dave Ferg
ajs
Mackay is a good player but this is his level, he will be 33 when the season ends and i doubt he would go anywhere else.
Kyle
But the club dont need to extend that do they? Unless he has a set number of games that would trigger a clause. 20 games I think. I think it's at the club's discretion though.
fergiefootball
Great signing i think he,l do well in a more attack minded team..county are gutted he coming to us ..calling him a legend .
Widge
I think it need to be pointed out we will lose Moon, Adams and Robertson (probably) in the summer, even those 3 won't be on a wage superior to why we will be paying Brittain, so it's entirely possible we may keep Mackay, Davidson and if Craig decreases his wage demands then him as well. PerthSeany
I haven't seen enough of him to give an opinion on him but I like to see the club being proactive in terms of deals and contracts john1962
541ntees
interesting 1 poster said they wont miss his corners that go out of play. at least liams floaters stay in
ex-montrosesaintee
I'm really not convinced about this concern about wages etc. I was under the impression that away from the Old Firm and perhaps one or two other clubs, player wages were becoming more or less the same from club to club. Unless a player wants to go down south to play, surely they must accept that there is less money to be made in Scotland than there was a few years ago? Either way, i am delighted with this signing, and it promises much for next season being onwards and upwards.

The Inspiration
County fans said a lot of similar things about Gary Miller. Just saying. I like Gary Miller, hasn't put a foot wrong and has played well out of position in midfield and also at right back as cover. Would be more than comfortable with him as our first choice RB if it Mackay was injured or gone fergiefootball
Saint GB
I like Gary Miller, hasn't put a foot wrong and has played well out of position in midfield and also at right back as cover. Would be more than comfortable with him as our first choice RB if it Mackay was injured or gone Hmm, you've obviously missed the games where attackers have gone past him like he wasnt there! Lost a good few goals as a result! He's not a bad player but will always be a cover player in my eyes, gets beaten far too easily! Decent going forward but can't defend! Widge
Mackay has been beaten as well this year, they're pretty similar players in my eyes. Now whilst Mackay is more solid, Miller is more than food enough as back up in the SPL and even a starter in my eyes.

DBay Saint
Well that's the cover in place should Liam go in the Summer. If Hibs come up with money to take Liam now, then likely we would pay for Brittain now as well .
Bev Callard
britain plays right mid for county so our midfield after january will be britain, muzz, cregg, nigel imvho.
Scott1884
Gotta figure that Muzz will go definitely, Liam probably, Millar probably, Calum obviously and Robbo probably. Midfield overhauled but Brittain and Caddis the main men. Caddis isn't ready

Dave Ferg
The fact that Caddis is away for a moth would suggest Lomas and co believe he's ready (ish).
john1962
I dread to think what will happen if Caddus gets a game and doesn't win the game scoring a hat trick. Some of expectations really are too high. We will have a thread wanting him castrated if history is any measure. rammsteinally, McCarry One Nil and SaintDougie

Or that he is not ready and needs to play in the first division. Month makes sense lets both clubs and the player decide the next move. bruce
The Juggernaut
A month with no saints games so makes sense for him to get game time and someone else foot the bill does it not?
