cristo
Has anyone heard Craig Dargo's name mentioned?I've just been reading BBC Scotland's article " Wright in frame for St Johnstone job", and looked at the comments left by other readers. One says Brown "is very interested in an application from Dargo", and another one that Dargo is in "pole position" for the job, having turned down a coaching role at Liverpool. It's the first I've heard of it, and don't know if the posters are Saints fans or not.I'd love to provide a link, but don't know how to, sorry!! Real Madrid
I know this is just at the rumour stage but could Kenny Sheils be available? More outspoken than Lomas, but also does a lot in the community which is something we need to do more off.

Real Madrid
================= Do you mean Sheils as assistant to Tommy? ============================= He was Mixu Paateiainen's at Kilmarnock to start with.
Kyle
That would be massive boot in the balls for Wright after turning down the chance to move to a bigger club to be their assistant. League Cup win aside, I don't think he's done that great a job at Killie anyway. Plus he's an arse. glenrothes saintee
rik2304
Bob Paisley aside is there much of a history with assistants taking over and being successful?

Stone Cold Saint
Bob Paisley aside is there much of a history with assistants taking over and being successful? We don't need to look too far. Peter Houston took over from Levein and won the cup. Aye the league form was pants but I'd take that
RandomGuy
No danger we'll go after Houston or Sheils. While Hartleys seemingly the hot favourite for the Kilmarnock gig, It'll be Tommy Wright
Southpaw
I'd be happy with Wright, Cleland and Davidson. Hopefully a quick announcement so that we can get the squad sorted out too. Dr Christmas Jones
rik2304
Announcement tomorrow? No reason why not asap if its Wright. Unless some of these applicants has got SB thinking.
andy rhodes fancy watch
Having had conversations over the last few years with Wright , Cleland and Davidson . I'm ok with Wright and Davidson but to be honest Cleland comes across as quite thick ( although not on a lee croft level ). He may be a brilliant football coach though and I suppose that's what counts . Dr Christmas Jones

Interesting taht someone mentioned crig Dargo the other day, He has been working with the under 20s at Dunfermline and has doen a great job there. reaching the cup final in the process. Would love to see Callum staying on but just wonder if tehy are maybe looking at an experienced udner 20s coach, Also was some thoughts that Clelland could be looking to move on for a managers job of his own, If Hartley does go to Killie look for Callum being on the shortlist for Alloa. Havana Saint
I have to agree. Speaking with Cleland on one occasion before, he certainly did not come across as having strong managerial attributes. Anyway, in SB we trust.
jfk
Tommy Wright will probably want to bring in his own assistant if he is selected as the manager. Would love to see Wright take the reigns but the only thing that concerns me is that he was a goalkeeper in his day and very few top managers past and present have been goalkeepers so he may lack knowledge in other areas of the park
Cagey
Think SB will want to promote assistant from within for financial reasons. fergiefootball
Jimmy Wallace
Can't see why anyone would want Kenny Shiels. The guy is a complete ****wit and an embarrassment to his current club, which is partly why they want shot of him Don't see the attraction in Craig Dargo either. He has taken the Dunfermline under 20s to their cup final?! Big wowee! Tommy Wright is the man for the job. Pop and Kyle
Jiangsu Sainty
A millions votes against Kenny Shiels from me.TW or some out-of-the-blue amazing candidate that we would never have though would consider coming to St. Johnstone, if the 5 candidates SB mentioned includes any such people. So TW then...
