Our server has been targeted by a ridiculous number of spambots over the past couple of months and in the last week it got to ridiculous proportions, taking us over our 160gb a month bandwidth limit. WAP, even on a busy month, usually uses less than 40gb a month - but it just got out of hand and broke everything. I've been working with our hosts and we think we've resolved the problem now. I know that many hours of time and effort is put into running these forums, and most of us just take it all for granted, until it suddenly is unavailable. The number of spammers and bots on the internet is ridiculous. They seem to be moving round my server targeting one part at a time. I have various things set up on this server - but they've finally turned their guns on the forum.
